The billing department at Volta Solar is a mess. The bill arrives one or two days before the due date so there is no way to mail it to Dallas by the due date. I started using a fax to authorize payments from my bank. Random higher amounts would be withdrawn from my bank instead of the amount that I authorized. The bank would reverse the incorrect payment, but they never withdrew the correct payment. Someone on the phone said that the business office would figure it out, but I never heard a thing from them. Then their fax machine became inoperable. The only way to pay was by phone. That seemed to be working. But my recent bill indicates a past due amount of $863. I have no idea where that came from as it was not mentioned on several previous bills. I have been charged random amounts in the past that make no sense. I also don't understand how my bills can go from $99 to $350 during the same season when solar production is rather steady. About a year ago, my panels stopped working but I continued to get bills. They never told me that the panels were not working. It took several months for someone to come out to get them working again. The communication with Volta is sorely lacking and the business office is highly inefficient. I would have the solar panels removed in a minute if it meant never having to deal with this company again.

The company is trying to charge me a past due payment. The payment was made and proof of the payment which included the credit card statement and authorization receipt from their system has been e-mailed 5 times to the offices and they still have not updated the system. I've called several times and am on hold for 45 minutes and then an answering services picks up and says that they will take a message and have some one call me back. I never receive a return call.

Beginning in July of 2021 I sent an email to the solar company that handles my monthly bill. There were two parts to the email. The first part was that I was overcharged and the second part was that earlier in the year, my equipment malfunctioned and someone came out to look at the equipment. It ended up that the equipment was faulty and needed to be replaced. My solar panels were down for about a month and a half, so they were not producing power. I had to wait for the repair person to receive the new parts which took the month and a half to arrive in total. That person came to my house on three different occasions prior to finally fixing the problem. At the end of a year, I have what is called a "Tru-Up" bill which is the difference between what my panels produce and I use power wise. This year, I had a $1,700.00 tru-up bill. I believe that this is because my panels were not producing power for that time frame. I reached out beginning in July of 2021 and up to this point have not been able to resolved the issue. I have reached out via email on multiple occasion with sometimes no responses at all other than an automated ticket response and then nobody gets back to me. I spoke to a gentleman at one point who verified that my panels were not producing for the time and previously stated and he was going to send my documents over to the appropriate department for further review and that was about two months ago. I have heard nothing back since than. I have all of my emails I can send if needed and a few names, first not last. I am filing this complaint in hopes that I will receive a response from them if this is investigated as the customer service is terrible. I have never filed a complaint with BBB so I am unsure what I need to do next for this situation to be rectified. Ultimately, I am seeking compensation for the $1,700.00 Tru-Up bill but also want the company to know their customer service needs attention. Thank You.
