I purchased a vehicle less than 30 days ago. After 2 days the check engine light came on. I had to pay $702.00 for the coils and spark plugs. That was not it - the vehicle stopped going into gear . The mechanic shop told me the shifter is faulty and it is a $******* job and well as the struts and rotors are faulty and that is a ******* job as well. This is all within one week of paying for this vehicle. I called the dealership and was told the General Manager **** would get back to me - he never did and today I was told they dont have to fix or refund me for the vehicle. Texas consumer protection law states : Lemon law for used cars, the consumer must notify the dealer within 30 days of the problem. If the dealer does not fix the problem, the consumer can then request a refund or replacement. Please help.

August 2022 I was in need of getting a car and pretty quickly. I started my searching from cargurus.com. The way I was initially looking at certain cars was I would scroll down to see if any accidents, how many previous owners and it was not a fleet or rental car. If the car passed these then I looked further into the vehicle. So, I picked the 2018 ******** **** GLA250. When I called, I specifically asked if anything majorly was wrong with the car and the salesperson helping me was *********************, he told me nothing except the normal wear and tear on a vehicle, but nothing majorly was wrong with it. The first day I went to go look at it the battery was dead (should have been my first clue) but I was not to impressed with it so I did not get. I did explain to **** my back was against the wall on time to get a car (my other mistake) this was on a Monday and my first day at my new job. So, Tuesday **** calls me and tells me there is someone driving from ******* to get the car and without money down or signing papers he could not hold it. So, I leave work early to go sign the papers. Before signing papers, I was looking for insurance and while looking I found insurance was too high for me, so I did not end up with the car that day. I also lost my new job for leaving to sign papers for I was in fear that someone was coming to buy the car. So, I am continuing to look that week and time running out, so I call **** back on Friday to see if the car was still there and of course it was. So, I feel he lied to get me to come and sign the papers. Not many people will drive that distance and not purchase what they are coming for. So, after I signed the papers, **** does not even walk me out to show me anything about this vehicle which I previously said I have never driven a ******** ****. So, I am not even in the car 30 mins and I feel things are not right. Come to find out this car has been in 2 previous accidents that **** lied to my face about. When I confronted him, his answer was, he does not know everything about every car. I said being the manager you should know this and if you are not sure you find out. I feel he knew my back was against the wall and took advantage of this. He said the day I bought the car he would take it back by Monday. I was heading back to Richmond since I lost my job so there was no possible way to make Monday happen nor find another car that quickly. So then after losing my job because of him my focus was to find a new job so there was a lot of driving from ****** to *******. I realize the time that has passed but for a good while I needed a job first before dealing with this. Then I thought too much time has gone by, but no he straight up lied to me about the car and that is illegal. I want them to take the car back and have my current car loan paid in full so I can restart looking for a new vehicle. I am not asking for anything more. At first I was going to try and get some type of claim for losing my job because of his lies. All i want is for them to take this car back that he lied to me about and have the loan cleared out. If BBB cannot help with this my next step will be getting an attorney. What he did was illegal, and I will not allow him to get away with lying to a consumer just to sell a car and make money. I have text messages to send but the emails between us he has deleted. When they have their own portals, they can delete whatever they want. I also called cargurus and asked them how they get their info about the cars they said from the dealership and asked if they can pull up past cars, they said no. I know that anything can be retrieved but I am sure it would need a subpoena to get the original advertisement they put on cargurus which would show that they did not put up the correct information on the vehicle
