For an interstate move from TX to WA, a binding total estimate for $3302.70 was given, my final total paid was $6213.00. After Move Us To Relocation started to load the truck on 8-18-20, I was told it now costs an additional $2,910.30 of which they needed $2,412.00 immediately (in addition to my previous $1100 deposit) before they would continue despite no changes in the size and number of boxes, or in the amount of furniture. The movers breached their contract by failing to:remove legs from my furniture, properly pad and protect my furniture, and refusal to reassemble all of my furniture upon delivery, I was literally told, "we don't have all week!" At booking, I had requested the highest level of insurance available and was told, "they've got you covered"and 'it is included in the estimate". Post move attempts to contact Move Us To Relocation was near impossible.The only way I was able to get through was by acting like a new customer who wanted a quote. I was referred to Moving Claims for the increased charges as well as lost and damaged items. The cost of my lost and damaged items is $6887.59 + $2910.30 in new charges = total losses of $9,797.89. Oct 18,21 I was an offer to settle in the amount of $50 for "my inconvenience" along with the requirements of dropping all complaints and charges. After the $50 offer, Moving Claims no longer responds to my e-mails. When I ask for an update on my case, I get an email with a link to a form to fill out to get the current information, but nothing ever shows up, I never get an email, I never get a call. I have a spreadsheet, photos, my estimate, and final bill. I have yet to be told how my charges increased so dramatically. No one has ever even apologized for damaging and losing my possessions. I understand I don't have replacement insurance but the industry standard of $6/lb should work as well as a refund for charges added on at the last minute. 519 lbs x $6 = $3112 + overcharge of $2910.30 = $6022 to be refunded
