    I moved out of Mount Vernon Apartments on 06/19 I turned in all keys and my 1 bedroom apartment was cleared out completely. On 07/23/2024 I received an email in my spam inbox saying I owe them ****** but I doesnt show any itemized expenses nor has my security deposit been returned

    I considered Mount Vernon for my next residence, was shown unit 1004, the stallion floor plan, by *******, Mount Vernon leasing agent. Filled out application and paid application fee. Got approved, paid prorated rent and deposit. On Monday, 06/24/2024, signed lease and received keys for unit 1004. On Wednesday, 06/26/2024, I conducted apartment inspection, found issues with the unit including a ***** infestation. I was provided a unit that was unsanitary and unlivable. Advised ******* of infestation they sent their maintenance over to spray and stated pest control is contracted to only come out on Tuesdays and that they would come out on, 07/02/2024, the following Tuesday. Pics were requested, which l provided in an email. I was not satisfied, requested a manager who was not available and spoke with *******, Mount Vernon assistant manager. I was offered a smaller unit, as another stallion floor plan wouldn't be available until the end of August, per ***, Mount Vernon leasing agent. Since the unit was not ready, I requested some type of concession for the change in agreement and inconvenience, options being, lower rent, washer and dryer, after hours gym access or assigned parking spot. ******* stated she would have to run this by her manager. Subsequent, unit 2114 became an option but that it wouldn't be available until after 12:00 p.m. on Friday, 06/28/2024. This caused a delay, requiring me to wait and delaying a place to live, all while charging me rent. I then returned the keys to unit 1004, as l understood unit 2114 was now an option. The option for a concession was a parking spot, ways away from actual apartment location or after hours gym access, stating the washer and dryer had already been removed. ******* went on to share how much trouble it was to remove the washer and dryer for her maintenance team and for office personnel....There is more and the rest can be found in the word document titled Mount Vernon Apartments

    The property manager is extremely disrespectful and racist! I attempt to speak with her about an issue that happen after hours with one of her staff (who lives on site), the staff's child was seen multiple times around my balcony antagonizing my dog, and my neighbor claimed the child did the same to them. I went to speak with her but all she kept saying was do I have paperwork on my dog ( which I do) instead of addressing the child's behavior. The manager boldly told me that she was going to side with her staff without even hearing the story. She accused me of being loud in the office and she even begin yelling racial slurs at me. I couldn't believe that someone in an office position was openly making nasty comments the way she did! She does not need to EVER attempt to have a conversation with me, I also was given a useless corporate number which no one answered. Many reviews on their website speak about her behavior and nothing is being done.
