On 11/9/24, I was unlawfully towed while physically on the premises. The tow violated state and municipal code, and in bad faith. There were no posted tow away zone signage or warning signs, and the person towing me waited for me to walk away before towing me, violating the good faith clause and not giving any warning or opportunity to move. When I requested billing and photos of the violation the company refused to give me the info. Under Texas law, I believe it is reasonable to request copies of my tow documents and I have been ghosted making several attempts. I have sent several emails and I have made several phone calls. I am told give us a moment and either I am hung up on or told they will call me back and hear nothing back. I believe this company towed me unlawfully and is now operating unlawfully. I was wrongly towed without consent. I have documention/proof of recepits showing the time I left my vehicle to buy parts to work on it, and the above company named C.A.R.S. Towing took my vehicle. There was not any warning signage posted or any Towing at owners expense signs posted anywhere. I have pictures with the time and dates that show no signs on any poles or walls or anywhere in the parking lot. My vehicle got towed and was not registered in the system. I went from being able to register my vehicle free of charge daily. All that was required was that i register it for parking. I just received it not too long ago. But i have been staying in my apartments for 8 years. I follow the rules. Plain and simple. Recently without notice this towing service used by the apartments stopped allowing the resident to register the cars online for free to charging $5 without notice of change or memos or signs. It seems they stopped allowing residents to register the cars and started trying to promote a daily charge of $5 without warning or notice to tow their cars and make profit. Its unreasonable and not professional. Business informs customers of business being conducted. You dont just take things from people and make them pay. No rules were broken.Initial Complaint

My car was towed from ****************** in the city of ***********, ***** 6/28/2024 around 6:15 and 6:30. called to see if the tow company CARS had my car and the hung up on my 5 times then by the 7 th time I spoke with a guy name ****** (mgr) and a guy by initials X.S. who I asked him what kind of tow truck did you all use to to my car because it has to have a flatbed due to it being a front wheel drive and and pull or manipulation of my car will cause it not to start properly or not at all and my alignment is out of wack .. I asked (******) and X.S, both doesnt know and that my car is fine . And I asked him how do you know if you dont know what type of the you all used .So clearly they used the tow that pulls the 2 wheels and the took my car about 30 mins The tow truck called C.A.R.S took my car off because they say it wasnt registered. I informed them my car was registered. How ever they didnt not tow my car off with the proper tow truck because when I got my in my car my dashboard lit up with error codes DRIVE TRAIN ,Tire Monitor MALFUNCTION , and Stablization error and engine not started error ABS LIGHT and my factory alarm sounds off randomly without any noise .As I got back in my car to drive off my car started to do extra work such a jumping forward as its in movement. I own a plug-in hydrid ************************************************************************************************************************** not at all If my car isnt properly towed.Please provide your companys insurance information so that I may file a claim regarding my car because there was nothing wrong with my car until you all towed my car with your tow truck .Also , I will be filing a class action lawsuit against you if information isnt provided to get my car repaired.The resolution to my complaint is for my car to repaired and compensation for the stress this has cause and a refund of my money I paid $321.47.Initial Complaint

On May 18, 2024, I pulled up to ******************************************************************************* And proceeded to park the tow truck driver number 006546502C spotted me parking got out to register my vehicle with the apartment complex went into the apartments to get the information to register my vehicle and upon me doing so as I come back out to get my license plate, he told my car I was going to go register my vehicle Within two minutes or less on arrival, I was forced to pay $170.47 to get my vehicle released for me and illegal tow. The tow truck driver claims he was spotting, but I looked him in the eyes and we walked right past each other as he was going from Car to Car seeing if they were registered, but he saw me pull up get out of the car to go register the vehicle and as I proceeded in the house, he took my vehicleInitial Complaint

This vehicle was illegally towed and targeted Im disabled and this complex has high criminal activities at night.. someone rammed shack my vehicle and my handicapped placard was taken I didnt make a report because I live on the 3rd floor I just had a stroke my vehicle was parked Christmas Day with my placard visible it was out of my knowledge to know my vehicle had been trashed again.. this company is taking advantage of disabled and indigent people.. that fact it has been parked in the same spot ,since my stroke means they had been looking or waiting for a reason to tow, any this unit is full of un tagged and un registered vehicles and damaged thats has been in violation for months, even the vehicle next to my car has not been tagged in a year.. means they specifically chose my car or took the placard themselves.. the reviews on this company is extremely sad and obviously their operating with intent to target low income complex they would not give me supervisor contact ******* said shes not allowed, provided email no reply the address and licensing for this company is not matching with information their providing based on reviews means they. I parked my vehicle in the fiesta parking lot which I paid for parking to attend the state fair. My vehicle was towed from the parking lot illegally. I asked the manager if they knew about my vehicle being towed and they said no they have a contract with the state fair for using their parking lot. So when we get to the tow company they lied to us and said we were scammed and that they towed over 50 vehicles from there which was not true. I then have to in turns pay $166 to get my vehicle back just to see that they damaged my vehicle & stole my property out of it. I am now missing my handicap placard and some money that was in the arm rest. I informed the company of these concerns and all I get is attitude and excuses from everyone that the manager is not available and that I need to send everything to the email. No one reaches back out. This has been ongoing since October of 2023. My vehicles anti theft system came on and now every time I drive my car for a little bit of time all the lights come on the dashboard and the service ESC continues to notify me. Just to diagnose the issue with my car is $279 plus repair for damages will range in the upwards of $2700 depending on if they find more damages.Initial Complaint

My car was registered on Sunday 7/23/2023 at 5:11 PM. My registration didnt expire for that day until 7:29 PM. My new registration didnt expire until 7/26/2023 at 7:29 PM. My car was towed at 10:56 AM on Monday, 7/24/2023. My car was registered, I wasnt park in a handicapped/ unauthorized parking spot. But I ended up having to pay $171.53 to regain access to my vehicle. I asked to speak to a manager and i was told no, I showed the tow company my registration/confirmation code and was told that they couldnt use that. I will provide documentation explaining registration for all dates to show that they wrongfully towed my car. I reached out via email, and have yet to hear back from anyone. Ive been getting the runaround for their mishap. C.A.R.S towed my vehicle on 6/17. After picking my vehicle up I notice that my vehicle had damage to the car. I told the front lady who took my payment and she told me to take pictures and send it to an email. I then asked her for a report or for her to contact the manager and she refused. She stated " its father day". I told her I was not leaving until I got a report. I then called 911 because at this point she was trying to threaten me telling me she was going file a trespassing charge. Then two tow truck driver came and the white male stated he was going tow my car with me in that he did not care. I told him him that he could not do that and he was being record by my phone. This is extremely illegal. I finally left because I was waiting there for 2 hours and I did not have any resolution and I have diabetes and high blood pressure and cannot be in the heat. Their VSF number is not updated in the front. The cops did tell me there had a permit and to contact ****** since this will be a civil matter.
