I moved out of *********** apartment Tropicana properties on 10/31/2023 and they are charging me an excessive amount of money for holes in the wall! To be exact $45 for 31 6x6 hole! Upon move out I patched all of the holes, and none of them were 6x6! The size is exaggerated!

I applied for an apartment as a future resident on 07/23/22 at approximately 12:30 PM. I was instructed to sign a few documents prior to moving forward with the actual lease contract. I was told I would have to get approved first by submitting my credit information. I understand the $20 application fee and why it's not refundable but I also left a $400 deposit. I was told that if for any reason I end up not moving in I would get the deposit back but not the $20 application fee which made sense to me. Today on 07/27/22 I came in to retrieve my application as I decided I'd stay at my current residence a few months longer. They showed me a copy of addendum that I had signed saying something different from what I was told (attached copy). As you can see that made me a little upset as I applied considering what I was told as I was still looking at other options. Well, I re-read the addendum and it does state that I have 7 days to execute the lease agreement unless we agree to different arrangements before the deposit is retained as liquidated damages and it has been 4 days. I was also never notified of the status of my application prior to coming in for the retrieval of my application.

Wrongfully withholding security deposit. ******************** Apartments I have emails proving that there was exchange of conversations. Move out date August 1. I informed my landlord of my new address and asked for security deposit on August 27. He responded to my email a couple days later via email saying he would contact me and that he was still processing my refund. He called me on the phone later on that same day discussing damages. I was disputing his claims because they were outrageous. I wasnt getting anywhere with the landlord. Obviously we were not going to reach an agreement. This was over the phone, so I cant prove it. He was aware of the fact that Im disputing the charges. I have made several attempts to collect my security deposit to no avail. I never received an itemized list either. I made repeated attempts to collect my deposit. I got a response that they would provide me with an update and they never did. Finally. I sent them a demand letter approximately 3 days ago. At this point, its been 4 1/2 months after I moved out of not receiving my deposit or itemized list of damages. This is unlawful. Miraculously, an hour or so after sending an official demand letter via email,.. landlord sends me a move out/security report via email, that I never received prior. There are several things wrong and fraudulent about this report. First off, it states that the move out inspection was completed on September 21,2021. Almost 2 months after I moved out. The apartment was flooded and completely damaged on August 12. They must have made the report in such a hurry that they overlooked such a critical fact. Not only that, but the forwarding address on the report was not the new address that I provided to the landlord. It states my previous address,.. not my new one. I can send you copies of the emails and prove that my statement is true.

I had moved out of the ************** apartment back in January 2021. I had always paid ahead and tried to avoid being late. Only once had I been late due to a misunderstanding about when my rent would be increased. I also immediately took care of it. I had moved out due to either my work orders being neglected or not submitted. My kitchen lights had not been working for months, twice I had asked for a mailbox replacement key. Since I had excess in my account ******* said she'd debit it from there and place the order. Never had I received the key. When I had moved out I had paid a lower amount, upon verifying with *******, I had mailed out a money order with the correct amount plus the late fees charged. I had continuously asked if there was anything else needed to be done. ******* just mentioned the written statement and to be out by the very end of the month. NOT ONCE WAS I NOTIFIED OF AN EXISTING BALANCE.
