Bottom Line Up Front: "We do not complete estimates for full roof replacement without a signed contract of financing already established." - ****** ****** (Mountain Star Company Representative) "As far as roof replacements we only utilize financing and/or insurance proceeds with our clients." - ****** ****** I had this company out to my property to evaluate my roof and provide me with an estimate ******* * ******** ****** *********** ****. They never provided an estimate. Rather, they sent me a contract to sign for them to do the work. I asked for two separate quotes one for if I wanted to pay out of pocket and the other for how much they anticipate billing the insurance if I decided to have the insurance pay for it. They provided me with the above responses. I have contracted with a lot of companies to do various types of construction work across many states, and this is the first time I have ever had a company refuse to provide a reasonable written estimate before I decided to contract with them to do the work. **** ****** ** ** ***** *** ***** *** **** ******* *** ** *** **** ****** **** ******** **** ** ********* * ****** ** **** **** *** ******* ** *** ***** ******** **** ****** ********** **** * *** ****** ***. I rephrased what I was expecting from them with a little more explanation, and they still refused to provide the requested estimates even if I were going to pay CASH out of pocket. * ***** **** ** **** ********** ********* **** **** **** ***** Anyhow, who knows, they may do great work, but this business practice of not providing estimates without customers signing binding exclusive work contracts first is NOT STANDARD in ANY industry. ****** **** ***** ** *** **** *** *****. I would steer clear of this company.

Mr. ******* requested two different estimates assuming we bill differently when filing an insurance claim. Our pricing is consistent with or without an insurance claim involved. He initially stated he wanted to proceed with an insurance claim which is why the agreement was sent. We stand behind our policies, work, and ethics.

I am in the military and I haven't lived in my house at ***** ******** **** ***** since 2012. I had property management deal with it. Last year around this this time, my roof needed repairs and my property management selected them. It cost $18000 and I had to pay $5000 for insurance. I'm didn't assume I would have to deal with the repair company but I did. Right now selling my house, my tents bringing up all these issues from the repair which another company trying to charge me about $5000 to fix mountain star roofing issues. I sent them a message, and they never responded. My insurance said they can't do anything besides to make another claim, but guess what, I have to do the deductible again for $5k. I'm not in the area and just trying to sell my house but the issues with the roof and mountain star ******** isn't helping. I can't even afford to spend $5k more on the roof which I should still have warranty

Customer satisfaction is a priority for Moutain Star Roofing. While we understand the client has stated he had issues, we show on our end the work was completed satisfactorily. Our records indicate Mr. ******** previously called regarding an issue that was addressed as part of the warranty. The client called again later when he was in the process of selling his home when the inspection report requested repairs due to lack of maintenance. Again, we went out there and addressed the issues. We were always in contact with Mr. ******** and the management company through emails and calls. The last communication we had from Mr. ******** stated he was satisfied, and issues/concerns were addressed. We have provided the customer with his warranty certificate and the city inspection was completed and closed.
