    ******* agreed to perform painting and repair work to the interior of my home. I signed a contract where he specifically stated the work he was to perform, the timeframe to complete the job (**** days) and the cost, $4,900. He was paid $4,200, but the work has not been completed 19 business days later, as of 09/09/22. Moreover, the work completed, less than half the complete job, is extremely shoddy. Later, he verbally agreed to install ceiling fans for an additional cost of $50 per fan. He was paid the $250 ahead of time for the installation of 5 fans, and this work was not completed whatsoever. ******** last day of work was Wednesday, 09/08/22. He has not returned to my home to continue working since, responded to text messages, or arrived to meetings we scheduled with him. It is important to note that he is temporarily living next door to my home and is well aware of our comings and goings as he would previously immediately come to my home daily upon my arrival. I have been living away from my home since he began the job 25 days ago, which has been a great source of frustration. His lack of adequate preparation and care in performing his job has resulted in possible irreparable damage to my carpet, tile, and laminated wood flooring. Needless to say, paying ******* $4,450 for an incomplete and poor job has been the most troublesome. I am seeking assistance in a refund so that I may seek another contractor to correct and complete the work as soon as possible. I do not wish for him to complete the job as I no longer trust him or his work. Thank you.
