Requested information on a 2018 ******** CLA from Allen Samuels Direct on 1/27/2023. I received a response from *************************, sales representative the same day in the afternoon stating the car had low miles and was still available. Being from *****, **, I requested a video of the vehicle which ****** submitted to me. The vehicle, in fact, appeared to be a beautiful car with low miles. ****** proceeded to tell me about the Certified process the vehicle had been through and that the car could be delivered within 400 miles at no charge, which sounded appealing.I proceeded to give ************************* my credit information to proceed with the deal. I told ****** that I had a high credit score and expected an excellent finance rate. The deal was approved with a high interest rate and suspect high payment. I never received Sales Invoice of the vehicle, which always is expected and required to be submitted by car dealers to their customers when cars are purchased, by the ************** ********** of ***** Vehicles. I started to receive several notices of inquiry by the various credit bureaus and became even more suspicious. I asked what was added and what the final price of the vehicle was so I could begin to determine what was happening to my credit and the car deal I was working on. I was told by ****** that the Certified process was $2995. I told him that I was not interested in the certified process, the items involved and the charges related to it. I told him to remove the $2995 to make the deal. ****** checked with his manager to see if that could be done and was told that it could not. This situation appears to be fraudulent activity on many different levels as I was never given the proper documentation to approve the deal before my credit was checked, the price was adjusted by $2995 without notifying me along with several other strange practices. After passing from the deal, I was notified that the price was lowered by $2000. ?????

    *************,

Thank you for bringing this to our intention as customer service is and always will be our core value. We apologize for your displeasure and will continue to train staff on transparency, as our website states there is additional charge if customer wishes for the vehicle to be certified. Regarding the request for credit inqiury removed, all applications are submitted on line to protect buyer as well as dealership and IP address where application was submitted does not belong to our dealership. Did you infact fill it out on line or do we need to assist with processing Fraud Alert on your credit file?

I am rejecting this response because:   To repeat:  I was not told that that there would be a charge for the certification, I was just told told what was included in the certification process.    The charge for the certification was added to the total price of the car.   I was not given a Notice of Sale form by the dealer that discloses the total charges.   Instead, my credit was checked without my permission.   Now, there is an implication that the credit was utilized from an outside source beyond Allen ******'s Direct.   All the credit checking originated with Allen ******'s Direct and I was told by ******** (the manager) and ********************* (the general manager) that they would reverse the credit inquiries.

Typical to form, the dealership is denying any responsibility for their gross errors and responsibilities.

Again, run as fast as you can away from this dealership, "like your hair is on fire and don't look back."    Save yourself a lot of trouble.

I will proceed with my complaint with the ********** of ***** Vehicles against Allen ******'s Direct for nondisclosure of total charges and fraudulent consumer credit information acquisition, as is suggested by the business' response.

    Regards,

    *************,

The only was to remove a credit inquiry is by issising a dispute with ********* / Equifax and or Experian, at that time we will receive authorization to remove. As you were informed once we receive the request from the credit agencies we will gladly agree to remove.

I am rejecting this response because:  the unauthorized credit inquiries have not been removed as of yet.     Once the unauthorized inquiries have been removed, I will consider the complaint regarding the inquiries as resolved.

The general complaint regarding Allen ******'s Direct will remain as the general public needs to be informed as to the nature of the type of adverse activities being conducted at this business.

On Tues. Aug. 9, I purchased a truck from Allen Samuels. I paid half of the cost on the spot in cash from my debit card. The other half I financed from my credit union, which gave me a pre-approved Ready Loan check. The dealer called my credit union and was told the check is good. The dealer lied about the trim package on the truck. The dealer deliberately withheld that the cost for their "192-point inspection," which they perform on any vehicle they get, was going to be passed on to me, to the tune of $3,000. The dealer did not give me a copy of my sales agreement or copies of any of the documents I signed, save for an invoice, an odometer certification, and an agreement to furnish insurance policy. Despite making me sit in the dealership for three hours while verifying that my check was good, the dealer said it was "corporate policy" not to let me have my truck until the check cleared, which could take "up to 10 business days." The salesman told me he thought it would only be two or three days. Two days later, they're saying the 10-business-day wait is mandatory, meaning I won't get the truck I've already paid for until two days after I'd planned to leave the state. I would never have agreed to this. This is pure maliciousness because I did not want their in-house financing.I want copies of all the documents I signed, as is my right under law, and none of which were offered to me. I want refunded to me the $595 that was included in the sales agreement to spray in a bedliner (it's somewhere around $595, but I'm not sure...I'm going off of memory because I was never given a copy of the sales agreement.) And I want the truck, which I own, released to my possession immediately. I intend to give a 1-star review of this dealership on every single forum I can find to do so, to help others avoid the same mistake. These are some of the scummiest people I've ever encountered, and this is by far the worst consumer experience I've ever had in my life.
