Unprofessional contractors that were difficult to deal with. Estimation and design process was normal and fine with them on our addition, but once our deposit was paid, sub contractors did not show up and did minimal work when the actual project started. Gave them many chances to do the work, but ultimately removed them from our project and negotiated with them for 6 months to get the remainder of my deposit back. Would not recommend.

Mr **** hired us to design and build a garage addition in November of 2020. The design process took about a month as is customary. When we submitted for the permit we were told by the building department that they were short staffed because of COVID and that it would take longer than usual to get the permit. We were finally issued the required permits on March 24th, over 2 1/2 months later. When we finally received the permit we immediately installed the erosion control and began the site demolition. Unfortunately, the weather did not cooperate and it rained every few days into May. We explained to Mr. **** that we need the site to be dry in order to grade and excavate for the foundations, but unfortunately the frequency of the rain kept the site from drying out. The excavation and concrete subcontractors tried to work in the mud and even got the tranches dug for the perimeter beams only to have rain destroy the work they completed. Mr. **** was increasingly insistent that the subs work, even though the ground was wet and/or there was rain in the forecast, but the subs refused because they did not want to have to do the same work over and over because of the rain. Mr. **** could not accept that the subs would not work in the mud and decided to remove us from the project. We agreed to part company amicably but when we sent our final invoice, Mr. **** refused to pay the amount we asked. In the interest of moving on, we ultimately gave Mr. **** all of the erosion control fencing for free and lost the deposit money that we paid to the concrete sub.

There was always an excuse, someone else to blame, or no show when dealing with Metro Solutions. If you want a contractor that is honest, accountable, hard working, and ethical, I would go with someone else.

The only excuse that we offered was the weather and unfortunately this is something that only God controls. Our principles have a combined construction experience of over 60 years and weather is something that always has the potential to effect ground up construction. Mr. Gump just could not seem to understand this and then did not want to pay for all of the project costs incurred. We wish him and his family the best and were ultimately pleased that the relationship ended the way that it did.
