Monthly charges of GAP Insurance for Cancer and Heart Attack (per Agent on 6/5/23)Was signed up by Agent, ************************* in December 2015 without my knowledge. Healthy America Insurance Agency has been taking $50 per month from my checking account Have called in the past, never cancelled. Was told that Agent ***** is no longer affiliated with them. Wonder why? Sure many others compained. Was seeking health insurance due to losing my job in March 2015 and had health issues and was working temporary positions. Found the company online, spoke with Agent ************************* and he signed me up for Health Insurance and Rx Insruance. My Plans: Unified Health One and Freedom Platinum. Effective 12/22/2015 Freedom Platinum. Effective: 12/22/2015 Confirmed that these plans was cancelled in April 2016.NEVER received a "card" they claim they mailed to me,nor the policy. Had no reason to sign up for this. Assume Agent ***** signed me up due to, the other insurance was thru my bank account. 6/5/2023 spoke with an Administrator at Healthy America Insurance, she is licensed in CA, I am in **. Called back and another Administrator informed me that I can use this for Cancer or Heart Attack, informed her I never agreed to this. They both informed me that the policy will end on June 30, 2023. Informed both of them, that I never filed a claim, due to, not having a claim nor receiving a statement. They will mail it to me today but will NOT refund me any other months. This is FRAUD. The Agent is no longer available and they would not let me speak to a Manager. I am due back $4,450.00 of my hard earned money. Note: Called my bank, ***************** ***** and spoke to someone offshore and they would not help me either. This is unfair from both businesses. Agent ************************* was a scammer.i am not the first person to complain about this company. They need to be shut down.

I am rejecting this response because: They only stated they would cancel and refund me the $50.00.  I want the 7 years x $50 per month they took out of my checking account that was setup by the Agent **************************I've called before and never received action.  I would NEVER have signed up for this being unemployed and having no health issues.  This was a scam.  Want my hard earned money back.

I am rejecting this response because:  I do not recall this conversation.  It was in December 2015.  My bank statements currently do not have this company she stated on when taken out.  The state UAGAP with CONS COLL.  This should have been cancelled with I called on  April 2016 to cancel my insurance policy.  They are still trying to get money for something that i never used, nor was sent a statement.

Looking to get this settled.  I was unemployed and the Agent, *************************, claimed it was for medicine. Again, I have had no CANCER nor Heart issues.

No correspondence from them in 7 years.....really?  What type of insurance this?  They should be investigated.  I'm a tax paying person who works ***** hours per week to make a living.

Beginning at least as far back at September of 2021, UBA has been deducting $80 from my account for "services" that I have never requested, and they cannot prove that I did. This amounts to at least $1,440 in fraudulent charges. I have never done business with *************************** or HealthyAmerica. Per their website, I do not have an account with them of any kind, but the charges have been deducted at least 18 times now. As far as I can tell, this is a scam company utilizing misappropriated billing information.

Thank you for letting us respond to this complaint.  ************** emailed ** yesterday and we tried calling him twice yesterday to discuss with him as well as sending him an email, but he never responded before filing this complaint with the BBB.
************** purchased a Gap plan policy that included accident and critical illness coverage.  He has been sent numerous correspondence, a welcome letter, an ID card and benefits have been paid on his behalf and a claim could have been made at any time.
But most importantly, as he stated in his email, he got our phone number from his bank statement monthly and should have called ** immediately to dispute or discuss.
In saying that, we will cancel the policy, stop the draft and refund $1440.

I called an broker, ***************************** ************************* ************** (getmehealthcare.com) to set up health insurance November 02, 2021, unbeknownst to me I was not only set up with the health insurance plan that I requested but he also enrolled me in ***s supplement plan with a hefty monthly fee of $80. The whole operation seems like a scam taking advantage of what is already a very confusing healthcare system, I never once used the *** plan nor do I even recall it being explained to me what the plan was. When I called him to enroll in a healthcare plan it requested that I provide my credit card number for billing purposes which I did and he emailed me several forms for signature and requested that I sign them while I was still on the phone with him, all while assuring me that I was setting up health insurance. *** took the credit card information I provided and used it to set up monthly billing for their own $80/ month membership (NOT my health insurance)I am seeking refund for 6 months worth of fees that have been billed to me without my approval

This business is falsely advertising to potential patients that I am a provider with their discount dental plan. They found my name as a provider for Aetna and are falsely advertising that I therefore agreed to their discounted services. I have never signed any documentation agreeing to be apart of their discount plan and they had no documentation when asked to provide any. I need them to remove me immediately as this is false advertising and I do not give my consent to be affiliated with this company.

I am rejecting this response because:
I did not sign that form. Attached are the only two forms from Aetna in my application to credential with them. As you can see theres no mention of third-party discount plans. This business is a scam. Remove me from your list or I will take legal action.

I am rejecting this response because: Aetna did not in any way reach out to me and I did not tell them I do not wish to be an Aetna provider. I need this company to stop lying and just remove me from their third party list which I never agreed to or signed up for.

I purchased what I thought was health insurance, full coverage is what I thought it was through the marketplace. I had a new job and the new insurance didn&#**;t kick in for 90 days. I paid $258.00 per month for two months. I went to the doctor for an appointment and they told me that it was only supplemental, not full coverage, which I thought it was 90/10 split. I paid an extra $100 the first month for activation. They sent me cards and paperwork.

    To whom it may concern:

We are in receipt of ******************** complaint and thank you for a chance to respond.  In March 2022, **************** purchased a Gap Plan through an independent agent which included the following benefits:

    $25K Accident

    $25K Critical Illness

    $10K Term Life

    $500 ER visit

    $500 ***** hospital confinement

$125 Dr. ****** visit (one wellness visit and one sickness)

$75 lab Test (one wellness and one sickness)

$75 Radiology (one wellness and one sickness)

    Vision and Dental

And yes this is a supplemental plan and **************** was in receipt of our ID card that was mailed to him in March 2022.

Since the agent is independent, he has access to many different types of insurance that we are unaware of.  In reaching out to the agent, we were informed that he had indeed purchased a medical policy thru a different carrier not known to us. We have directed **************** to his agent and the other insurance carrier for more information.

When **************** made his appointment with his doctor, he presented our ID card instead of his other carrier's which he states he had not received from them.

Our supplemental plan is a good addition to any insurance plan to help with out of pocket expenses.

In summary, we can only respond to our plan which is independent of anything else and have initiated a refund for him.

    Sincerely,

UBA Insurance (also known as Healthy America Insurance) has been withdrawing ACH payments from a savings account that is not monitored as regularly. These charges first appeared in 2019 and I immediately raised a dispute with my bank. My bank was not able to give me information about the mystery charges at that time. However, the charges started up again with a different description and amount. My bank was able to trace the charges and gave me a business name and contact. When I contacted this company I've never heard of they claimed I have an account with them since 2018 for GAP Insurance. I've had private insurance during that time and did not need GAP insurance and did not sign up for this plan. They do not have a signed contract or agreement with me. I have never received mail, email, insurance plan information or plan ID that would indicate I was signed up for this plan. Instead of cancelling the fraudulent plan, the representative gave the contact of a third party agent to follow up with my dispute. Overall, very sketchy. UBA Insurance/Healthy America Insurance Agency is knowingly charging people who have not agreed to be signed up for their services. I suspect they scam people through third party agents during ACA enrollment. Beware.
