On May 1st 2023 purchased a steering box from AGR. Spoke to owner, ***************************** on phone before purchase. He advised that product was in production and be sent out in 4-5 weeks. On August 22, 2022, I ordered several parts from AGR Performance. After paying the invoice in full via PayPal, I was notified by **** at AGR that they were backordered. He informed me he would update me when the parts were in. I checked back with him in October and was told they were still not available. In December of 2022, I still had not received the parts, so I decided to cancel the order and purchase parts elsewhere. I emailed **** to cancel the order and to request a refund. I left several messages, and the Executive Director of our organization also reached out multiple times, with no success. We have been unsuccessful in making contact. The product this company makes used to be of very high quality (20 years ago) so knowing that I filled an online form on the website to get in touch about purchasing something from them in November 2022. I received an email, and a phone call a few days later. On December 1st 2022, I returned the call and was able to get a quote for what I needed and promptly agreed to purchase said item (power steering gearbox) for about $650. I was told it was a 2-3 week lead time for them to put it together and ship it out. It is now June of 2023, and my calls and e-mails are not being returned, voice mailbox is full and I still have no update, and nothing has been sent. Order number ****Initial Complaint

Bought a steering gear from merchant. Item was installed carefully to their specifications. They never sent the full order (was to include their fluid.) Noticed it was leaking heavily. Requested a return to merchant, which they agreed to. (Took many many phone calls and emails to get through, for weeks, during which vehicle couldn't be driven.) But before returning, first merchant asked if we could replace a seal, and walked us through how to do it. Replaced seal, but did not solve the problem, and within hours was still leaking heavily, and gear didn't work, very dangerous to drive. Removed it and proceeded with return. Sent it back to them, had to pay out of my own pocket for shipping, and when it arrived they weren't there to receive it. Post office left them notices repeatedly, but after a month it was sent back to me. Enraged by this, I called and called but they did not answer. Then sent it back to them AGAIN, (each time costs $36 in shipping, now $72.) Second time they still weren't there to receive item and never went to post office to get it. I called and called and two weeks ago got through and told them that their item is at the post office. They said they would go to the post office and check, but they never did. I called AGR to order a mustang power steering rack with fittings and a few other parts. The total cost was $1004. I never received the parts and it's going on a year from when they said I would have them. They will not answer and phone calls from my phone but they answered when a friend of mine called. He was hung up on as soon as the order number was given. I have not received any of my parts and they still will not return my calls.Initial Complaint

Buyer beware!!!!!! AGR Performance aka Steerco LLC has a horrible product and even worse warranty customer service policy. Below are the details of the last email I sent to them; I have been reaching out to your company for months about my leaky steering box I bought from you last year. I bought the box, lines and a steering pump over $1k in product.It took months for you to get back to me. No one answers the phone. Emails dont get responses.When I finally got you early February you tell me your warranty is I have a mechanic pull the box, store the Jeep on his lot for a few weeks. Pay the postage to ship the gear box to you and then after you inspect it send me back a gear box to be installed.Now I will tell you that is a very unorthodox and non-customer friendly warranty. What happened to sending out a replacement for your defective gear box and then examining the faulty one upon return for the defect, like every other company does?I already have to take on the added expense in having the gear box replaced by a mechanic because your product leaks. That alone ***** but add in your back and forth and my mechanic really not wanting my Jeep taking up space for a few weeks charging me storage fees and this really *****.On top of all of this I finally said fine, but I dont have a box or the packaging to pack the steering gear box properly for shipping. You said on Feb 13 via text you would have it sent out.Here we are 3/31 and still no packaging, a few emails sent to you and calls made in which I left messages and no response. This is absolutely horrible. It should be noted when I first order my steering gear box February 2022 there was a delay in shipping. Your representative, ************, told me it was because the steering gear boxes were bored to the wrong specs and if they had sent them out they would be leaking heavily. I purchased the custom built steering from AGR/Steerco LLC. May 21 2021.I started out with ****. Once the money is cleared from my account, that's when I can't get a return call. If I use a different number, I was given excuses on time frame. Finally received all parts by Nov '21. Everything was installed by a professional High Performance Diesel shop. It drove great from Jan '22- Oct'22. Not my daily driver either. We were given different steps to take from **** at AGR to diagnose or fix.Feb 27, 2023 now was sold a replacement pump. I was willing to pay, tho their pump failed. Drove less than 200 miles on it.They sent wrong pump with missing parts and wrong fluid. $449.00!!Now once again, won't return 15 calls or 3 emails. AGR non-Performance. It will cost me $51 to ship back. But can't get a response of any kind. **** PROMISED (Feb 1, '23) he would help. A person or company shows their reputation by their word. I originally purchased your product May 21, 2021. It has been nothing but problems in communication and delivery, the entire time now,almost 2 years.

I understand during covid we had issues with parts. I believe I was very patient. Though when I would call in, I would always get a different story, different date. And then no return phone calls, and no answering of my phones. If I use a different number it would go right through within 1 minute of the no answer from mine.
****************, we are not afraid to answer the phone, however as businesses often do, we often get an upwards of 100 spam calls, so if you call multiple times and dont leave a message we assume you are just a robo call. It is possible you have been flagged as spam.If we dont answer if you kindly leave a message we will get back to you as soon as we can.*
Unfortunately, I can see the same complaint is your true reputation, on the better Business bureau from countless people.

February of 2023, I asked for help on a steering pump to you ****. I was very pleasant on the phone, I did not put down your product. And you PROMISED that you would help me through this. I did not ask for anything for free. Only your help to get this product to work after almost 2 years of frustration!
I did not want to take my existing new pump off, and leave truck sit, while waiting for a new pump. So I purchased a second pump to bolt back on. And was willing to pay to have my original pump fixed.Very simple!

There is no way for us to predict your past modifications, nor replace your pump with one of ours without know what it was to begin with. We only offer what we offer for that specific vehicle. If the vehicle was modified in the past that burden of responsibility and information falls on you. We of course are friendly and ready to help, but the fact is we can only help with your participation and information*
When we open the box to install the new pump,we can see it was a different pump. And now countless calls have happened, and this is the third email waiting for a response.
***************** the pump that has been retrofitted to your vehicle BEFORE you purchased ours is what is called a N STYLE PUMP, and the pump we produce is a P PUMP. If you had knowledge of a retrofit prior to purchasing from us, that information would have been very helpful, and your responsibility to know/provide, not our knowledge/responsibility. We do also produce that pump and can exchange if for you however I strongly advise against that style pump due to its design flaws.That pump was ONLY used on certain year ***** Caprice vehicles, not any trucks and there for was certainly not designed for heavy loads that a large truck with oversized tires!*
I was given the wrong pump, and wrong fluid. As stated on the phone, I already can get the ACDelco here. At **************, we get that cheaper than what you sell it for, And we don't have to pay shipping.
*You were NOT given the wrong pump, you ordered the wrong pump, if you intended on getting a pump to replace your modified and retrofitted pump! As for the fluid, you can get that fluid cheaper else where but you will not get the extended warranty that we sell as a package deal by buying the fluid from us. You see ****************, purchasing the fluid from us is the ONLY WAY we can ensure that you actually use the fluid we recommend. We do this as a benefit for us both, to ensure the pump you purchase is in the best environment possible!!! In return, because we have so much confidence in our product being used with the proper fluid, that is why we offer the extended warranty with the fluid purchase!*
I am shipping the entire shipment back. I need to be refunded for the wrong order. It's obviously cost me time and shipping again! I also need communication. It's very simple for running a business professionally.

The facts I stated above are, you have a vehicle previously modified with a different style pump than what you ordered or we typically supply for that vehicle. The additional fact is, in the purchase agreement included with your product it specifically states we will not honor our warranty if the pump is used with the incorrect fluid and we also are not liable for shipping products back and forth for any reason! This responsibility and liability falls on you. The fact is, it is not our responsibility to choose your purchases for you.*
A copy of this is in the return original box with fluid n pump still in plastic. I sent pics showing you didn't even send anything workable to use.
I am waiting to find out what to do with my original ordered pump that doesn't work?
***************** as I write this reply in detail as you have much to address less than 30 minutes from the time this email is dated, I receive the filed complain from the Better Business Bureau.In the explanation of your first email on 06/16/2023 you explained that you were UNABLE to install pump you purchased and included pictures showing that it is plainly a different design, but now you OVER EXAGGERATE and state that it worked great for 8-9 months, and stopped working months ago and you are just now reaching out!!! This is the kind of customer relationships that make it hard to due business and when they start lying to get what they want, we REFUSE to help them any further. NOW we will no longer offer any goodwill like originally planned for this customer. The facts are he is out of warranty. What would have been an easy exchange is now a WILL NOT HELP!*

I am rejecting this response because:They prefer not to even consider the facts.
I presented ************ emails on March 22, '23 of the original paperwork with pictures of the exact pump they sold me. They now claim that the pump in 2021 was not recommended for my truck.
I presented email of 2/27/'23 my emails worked to collect, but supposed the emails of Marc ********* 22 all go to spam? Only when Better Business bureau was contacted was a response. Then claimed they won't finish the transaction of Feb27,2023 purchase. (It's not complete) yet under a 3 year warranty??!!I also emailed that I can show the 16 calls made in Feb/March of 2023. You can see the dates of calls answered before purchase, then no answering after purchase. You can see the dates of voice mails left all 3 times, with no return calls. I received from Verizon.
The MANY and COUNTLESS BAD reviews says it all.
I called another reputable company. I sent pics. The new pump they sent shows to be for a GM trucks and they sent me prices to complete their unfinished, nonworking pump. So much for 3 year warranty. They WILL NOT take blame for their continued bad business!! I wish I read the reviews, or about the investigation.

The customer is trying to use our aftermarket part to replace another companies aftermarket part previously installed on his truck and they DO NOT INTERCHANGE! A simply exchange is all that needs to be done. No further communication will happen here regarding this case.

I am rejecting this response because:I, as many others shown, am also at an impasse with this company.
I've presented facts, I've presented receipts with pictures of their original equipment sold with dates 2021. I've presented the equipment advertised, delivered, installed, and failed to be the same they sold. The new doesn't match, they can't communicate after 2 more direct tries through Email March 21,'23
I have found a better source that has only 1 complaint in 5 years.
Hope others see the dishonest practice. See I had no foul language. But obviously hurt their feelings by REPEATEDLY asking for them to help.
I'm done!! Another company with only 1 bad review, in 5 years, sent me a different kit. Very helpful. Also identified the pump sent in March 2023 from AGR was in fact wrong for my truck.
Thank you for all your help Better Business bureau. You can't make dishonest people honest. But you sped up the process to find a solution. Hopefully you help other hard working people not get ripped off.

AGR/STEERCO. DO NOT BUY FROM THEM. They do NOT stand behind their product. Also their company Steerco LLC, which they trade under and is the name used on their invoices and their website, was dissolved in Jan. 2018 its official status is Forfeited Existence.They are supposed to be experts in power steering systems they are not. They couldnt get their system to work right on my Jeep after nearly two years of trying. And while their warranty was still in effect they ceased all communications with me, just dumped me and wouldnt return any of my calls or emails. They highlight on their website Best Tech and Warranty in the industry Dont believe it. Their product is inferior and they dont know how to fix it and then they renege on their warranty. Their customer service is appalling. Most of the time they dont answer the phone.I bought and paid for a hydro assist steering system from them in June 2020, which they eventually delivered to me in October (after they cannibalized my parts for a larger customer) and I paid more for their two year warranty coverage. I paid $1,671 for their system and extended warranty (invoice #**** dated 6/15/2020) and $850 for re-fitting the FOUR faulty pumps they sent me, for a total of cost to me $2,521.My system was making a whining noise from day 1 meaning air was getting into it and creating froth/bubbles in the oil reservoir, even though there were no oil leaks anywhere in the system. After trying many many things, including sending me FOUR replacement steering pumps and steering box parts, nothing they did fixed the problems and my system still does not work as it should. What a terrible company their product doesnt work, they dont know how to fix it, they dropped all communications and now they are reneging on their warranty.Initial Complaint
