MSI Credit Solutions charged me over $600 UP FRONT and my spouse $2500 UP FRONT costs after seeing the Credit Scores and # of negative items on each credit report (initial call is about ***** min). We initially spoke to ****** for my spouse because I was with Lexington Law. I had No IDEA it was illegal for companies to charge you money for upfront costs! Until today! This is on top of $99 service fee a month and $36 a month (per person) for a credit report app. They did nothing for us! I was Skeptical and should have stayed w my gut - I asked For 3 things 1. Souses ******** account be removed as it was over 7 years 2. Personal information updated as we were victims of dark web and data breach and 3. An issue with previous mortgage company and ****** guaranteed NOT AN ISSUE! Well they did none of it. After 5 months I fixed ther personal data due to a clearance process and even brought that up to ****** and my frustration and he kept telling me its a process of the same letter over and over! Well we scammed everything and just no results. This STEALS money from desperate consumers that get abused by vendors that pay bills! Vendors who abuse or do not follow rules. *** needs CLOSED DOWN AND INVESTIGATEDBusiness response

Thank you for your feedback. While we regret hearing about your dissatisfaction, we feel it is necessary to address your concerns and clarify certain inaccuracies in your statement. At MSI Credit Solutions, compliance and transparency are core principles of our business operations.
1.Compliance with Federal Laws:
MSI Credit Solutions adheres strictly to all federal and state regulations, including the Credit Repair Organizations Act (CROA). As required by law, we do not charge upfront fees for our services. All charges to our clients are billed in arrears, meaning fees are collected only after work has been performed. This ensures that our clients pay for tangible efforts and results already delivered.
2.Misunderstanding of Fees:
It is possible that recent developments involving other credit repair companies, such as *************, may have caused some confusion. For example, Lexington Law has been the subject of a class action lawsuit due to their illegal practices of charging upfront fees, which MSI Credit Solutions has never done. If you were a former client of Lexington Law and received compensation related to their settlement, it might explain why this misunderstanding occurred.3.Service Details:
We strive to provide a thorough and clear explanation of our program during the initial consultation. Additionally, our team works diligently to resolve disputes, update personal information, and address inaccuracies in credit reports.MSI exceeded our guarantee under section 5 of the contract so no refund is possible.4.Resolution and Next Steps:
We understand your frustration and are happy to review your account in greater detail to show you how we don't charge upfront fees and how we exceeded our guarantee. Please contact us directly at ************* so we can address your concerns and misunderstanding. Your satisfaction is important to us, and we are committed to improving your experience.Initial Complaint

I am pretty sure I was just scammed for my identity. I contacted Frank ****** with MSI inquiring about their credit repair services. Frank encouraged me to look at their reviews online and honestly they have great reviews on google. Everything sounded good until we started going over the numbers. Frank kept calling the deposit to obtain service an investment, which I thought was really strange. In addition to that, they originally wanted $800 down to fix my credit and 98 dollars per month. Frank offered a payment plan for the deposit which would be $300 a month for two months including the monthly fee. I ended up sending this person a picture of my drivers license and my social security number. He pulled my credit and explained how they could help delete each item on my credit. Then he asked me for a picture of my social security as well. That's when I freaked out. I made excuses as to why I didn't move forward and pay the amount because just had an off feeling. Then he said if I wanted to cancel I could and then the remainder of the deposit would be waved. Then what is the point of a deposit? After this, he starting getting pretty aggressive. And he kept saying over and over again please don't mistake my passion for aggression. It was at that point I knew I had f'd up. After doing further research, apparently is it illegal for a credit repair company to ask you for money upfront. I sent the salesperson a text citing that law and he didn't respond. So I have a one year fraud alert placed on my credit. I am so disgusted by this and I am actually very surprised these people are allowed to do business. This is a hard lesson for me and I just really hope they don't use my information. I am going to make more phone calls to report this in the morning to any sort of regulation office with my recordings and documents pertaining to this incident. I feel it is important to speak out as much as possible in hopes of protecting others from this. Any help is greatly appreciatedBusiness response

Business Response /* (1000, 5, 2023/01/24) */ I am sorry but this ***** has no idea what she is talking about. She inquired about services and we called her for her free consultation. During the consultation we cover what negative items we found, the game plan, the client obligations and the price. If the client chooses not to enroll that is ok with us. So if ***** does not want to enroll that is her choice but for her to say we are a scam is unacceptable. First of all we don't charge upfront fees. We always charge for services rendered. We charge in arrears not upfront. Before we charge the client the initial investment we render services. I ask that you remove this bogus review. Consumer Response /* (3000, 7, 2023/01/25) */ (The consumer indicated he/she DID NOT accept the response from the business.) If you charge in arrears, why would you ask for $800 to get started? You are trying to cover up your shady practices by blatantly lying about your process. Charging in arrears means you charge after work is completed, not disrespectfully demanding an outrageous deposit to get started. To say I don't know what I am talking about is ridiculous and it really shows just how unprofessional this business is. I hope any prospective clients see this in the future and know that they will not be treated with respect, and this business could care less about its potential clients if you are not willing to shell out hundreds of dollars just to get started. This is a scam. This bussiness is not CROA compliant. This is not a bogus review this is my experience with this company. They have given no apology, just lies. 100% THIS IS A SCAM. Business Response /* (4000, 9, 2023/01/27) */ If we were not compliant we would not have been in business for 16 years. On page 1 of our contract it clearly states what services we perform before the initial cost is paid. I am sorry that you do not believe us. If you always look at things in a negative way you will continue to miss opportunity. If you happen to change your mind and need help with credit repair you will have to find it somewhere else. You are officially banned from our services.Initial Complaint

Would not recommend. Gave them full chance to help. Nothing was removed from my credit. The person that signed me up led me to believe that even accurate items would be removed. That person was either fired or quit 2 months into this. I tried communicating after that person was let go and no help came out after. Didnt have a person to communicate at that point. I did everything on my end to do my part. I guarantee someone will write below that it wasn't the case. Lesson learned. Those $1600 i paid could have been used to do what they did myself and even negotiate a discount.Business response

Business Response /* (1000, 5, 2022/09/12) */ Mr. *******, we know how frustrating it may feel if your initial consultant is no longer with our company. The great news is that they are not the ones that work on your credit, as our processing department monitors your progress, updates changes, and submits audits to the accounts you gave MSI permission to send out on your behalf. We communicated that our special handling department would be over your account via text and email. If your contact information has changed, please let us know. As we want to assure you that you are receiving all the communication we send you. You have done a great job sending in your results, but you have only completed 5 of our 6-month program. Our clients' results vary and come at different times, sometimes at the services' beginning, middle, or end. We understand your feelings, but please know that your initial investment is protected under MSI's guarantee, as stated in the agreement you signed before enrolling when you meet all your client obligations. We attempted to call you and would love an opportunity to address your concerns further. Please get in touch with us at your earliest convenience directly at 214.888.4990 Consumer Response /* (3000, 7, 2022/09/13) */ (The consumer indicated he/she DID NOT accept the response from the business.) They refuse to communicate via email. Attached is a screenshot of the text telling me they will not communicate via email after i stated that i need hard evidence of our communication. I also stated that i have given them too much $ and they suggest i spend more $. Business Response /* (4000, 9, 2022/09/15) */ BBB we really dont have another comment. Our contract states that you have to give us 6 months to be eligible for our guarantee. This is the same comparison as a haircut. Mr ******** walked away from getting his hair cut half way though and now he wants his money back because he is not satisfied. Consumer Response /* (4200, 11, 2022/09/16) */ (The consumer indicated he/she DID NOT accept the response from the business.) After having 5 months of seeing no progress being done, one starts to wonder if its a scam all along. Doing research and going back to how i fell for this, i can see its common practice for them to give false hopes by having you lie on your initial setup. See attached text from the person that made me sign up. Via phone conversation before giving them a cent of my money, this person told me that even if the debt was legit, they could remove it. According to the response to this complaint, at month 6, something will change? I will just have to give up another $98 for month 6 and then get told im not allowed to get a refund? No thanks. Ill keep my $98. I hope people dont keep falling for this company's sketchy and misleading practices.
