When I called this facility to find out about counseling for my child they were very quick to want financial info, insurance information makes sense but they demanded my credit card information over the phone before even making an appointment.I explained to them that this is exactly how we suspected my Identity was stolen previously and I don't feel comfortable sharing over the phone, their response was ridiculous in telling me my privacy was protected by HIPAA... I explained to her that HIPAA does not protect my credit card information at all and that is not what it is for.They were difficult and didn't seem to understand actual policies or protections for their patients. I went to BBB to check and there was nearly the exact issue I was refusing to give my credit card over the phone here in the reviews.In addition, I went to their page to check out their HIPAA policy for the fun of it.. to prove to them it does not in fact help my privacy whatsoever as I was making an appt for my son. The even more ironic thing is they misspelled HIPAA on their website to read "HIPPA".... but yet I am supposed to trust them with my information? No thanks.I have no idea if they have great counselors but be weary of the staff, as they don't seem to understand what HIPAA is or what it entails. No thanks.
