ON Aug 1ST I PRESENTED MY 2008 Chevrolet Equinox to DFW Auto Repair for service repair of my AC system. They told me they fixed the vehicle but when I drove it was not fixed. I paid them $1500.00 (see receipt) I since have taken my vehicle back three times for repair and they still have not fixed it. When I ask for a refund, they said no. When I told them I would report them to the BBC they laughed at me and told me to go for it. it appears they have a sense of immunity and are comfortable operating a shady business. "I have since checked their google reviews and it is not good, they have developed a history of ripping people off."Business response

Business Response /* (1000, 5, 2022/09/01) */ We, at DFW Auto Repair strive to provide the utmost service at a reasonable price. With that said, this customer came in for an AC repair. His complaint was that when he was driving the A/C was blowing cold. As soon as he stopped at a red light or stop sign, it would start blowing hot. Over the course of the three times he came back, we ended up replacing his entire AC System. The diagnostic can only go so far when it comes to AC repair. There are several components that go together with an AC System and sometimes it is impossible to tell where the problem is. The first time this customer came back and each and every time since then, we offered to fix it. I even dropped my labor price for him just to resolve any negative issues. However, the third time this customer came the same issue still occurring is impossible. We ended up replacing everything in his AC System. We also checked his entire electrical system and there was nothing wrong that would cause the AC to shut off while driving. Also, both of my employees drove it for at least 20min each in stop and go traffic. They stated that it was working perfectly fine. How is it that as soon as the customer got the car in his hands 10min later the AC starts not blowing cold again? Consumer Response /* (3000, 7, 2022/09/07) */ (The consumer indicated he/she DID NOT accept the response from the business.) This response is really not a response to the issue. 1. The fixing of the AC was not done. 2. The reason it was brought in was not complete. 3. They had three times to get it right. 4. They obviously are out of their league and should not have taken the job if they could not deliver. 5. I paid for the AC to be fixed and it is not period. 6. If a shop did not do what they were supposed to a refund to the customer is due so I can get it fixed. 7. They confirm my complaint by their own admission (They stated that it was working perfectly fine. How is it that as soon as the customer got the car in his hands 10min later the AC starts not blowing cold again?) we are not dealing with a ghost! It is a AC system. 8. Bottomline, the AC is not fixed, they were paid $1500 to fix it, they had three opportunities to do so, and it is not fixed (By their own admission) 9. A complete refund so I can get it fixed is in order. Business Response /* (4000, 9, 2022/09/08) */ The reasons this customer gave were already addressed in my previous reply. To reiterate, when this customers vehicle was in the shop and when I, personally, and my employees drove it for 20min each in stop and go traffic, there were absolutely no issues with the AC blowing hot when the vehicle was stopped. We even left it running on multiple occasions in the shop for at least an hour. Also, not to mention this customer asked for $10 of gas when he picked his vehicle up the third and final time, even though he asked us to test drive his vehicle first before giving it back. How can we test drive a vehicle without using gas? With all of this said, I would like to have my original question answered as to how and why is it that when the customer got the vehicle back in his hands, the AC starts doing the same thing as it was when the customer brought it in? We would not have called him to pick up his vehicle if even after the test drive it was giving the same issue. The AC worked exactly as it should in our hands. It just sounds to me like this customer does not have money and is purposely doing this to get his money back. He mentioned doing something similar to the business that was here before me and from what I have heard they also did extremely good work. Please see testimony of prior customers of this establishment, they have a trace record of shady business practices. Ten employees can tell them they did the job, bottom line it's not fixed, and they should be held accountable for their incompetence and their continue lies. Jessica Culpepper 4 reviews 5 months ago I went into have a tire patched or replaced and they ended up saying that I needed a tire rod and another part on the other tire, and they only fixed one of them and so when I figured out that they didn't replace the tire in the first place then I went back to him. They said that the second part needed to be fixed so they said they did it. I got charged $1,300 almost $1,400 and they never changed any of the parts. I have pictures that show that the tire rod was never replaced as the original from the vehicle, that there was a bolt that was completely stripped that it holds the tire to my vehicle and there were no threads on the screw. I called to ask if they had a copy of the receipt because I had a copy, but I wanted to see if they could email it to me and they "lost" their computer records about 3 weeks ago. Also, my car ran perfectly fine until I went to go see them and then within a few weeks after leaving them my car started having malfunctions and making weird noises and leaking and they have no recollection of my vehicle. I see why they have three stars and like I've read on many reviews I wish I could leave zero stars cuz this place is horrible. Do not take your vehicle there. Did about half the work that we were charged for, this was verified through dealership with pictures. This is new ownership, and they promise greats prices but won't complete the work as specified. I was scared. thankfully a stranger helped me on the side of the road, and he lifted it with his jack and the tire was wobbling, he ended up tightening it.
