At noon on April 6, I hydroplaned during a storm near Giddings, ***** and ended up in a ditch. I had called AAA but the police said they wouldn't let me wait for AAA and called a local tow truck company named Tillery Wrecker Services. They arrived at **** and towed my car 8 miles to their shop. A few hours later, AAA showed up to take my vehicle to another city, and Tillery said I had to pay $1,071 in cash before they would let AAA take my car. They said their debit card reader wasn't working and refused to attempt it. When I called on April 7 to ask the manager if he knew about this excessive charge and asked if he can explain why I was charged this much, he said he knew about it and that's the price they charged and hung up on me without allowing me to speak anymore. The driver and the employee who gave me the bill is named ***************************. The manager did not provide his name and hung up before I could ask.
