On October 14,2023 my wife who is disabled and in a wheelchair had to call an ambulance to my home because of a stroke that I may have suffered to take me to Lake Granbury Medical Center, I had no one to take me because she cannot drive. They charged me over $2000 dollars for ambulance ride. At the ** i was placed in a room, vitals checked, 2 head CT's, and put back in ** room for 16 hours. At 4 a.m was taken to a room upstairs and that day was given medicine for ** and clotting by doctor and fed twice. I was told to stay overnight for a MRI the next day and did so at doctors request. The next day I was taken to MRI and they performed the imaging on my head and taken back to my room. The doctor came to my room after 3 hours and told me I was to stay another night so he could speak with another doctor about results. I told him I did not want to stay another night and he protested me leaving but I was not going to stay for no reason. I explained to him I could be notified about his discussion at home where my welfare would be better served, he was not going to release me. I thought about his reasoning and mine and there was no reason to stay. They charged me close to $60,000 dollars for what i have just described and its not justified. The insurance paid $52,000 and left me $7,000 dollars in the hole that I find ridiculous and robbery to myself and my insurance. This hospital is known for their underhanded business practices and needs to be put on notice that they are not here to steal our money, but save our lives. Please help anyway you can, this is not the first time I have been treated unfairly and I think prosecution should be a logical step, just as the hospital does to people who are not wealthy and *** patients for non-payment. I wonder why, $60,000 dollars for services as explained. Dirty business.

I was charged $1036 for sitting in the waiting room for 4 hours on 6/12/22. I have my dad as a witness who took me and picked me up without getting treatment. I got blood work but that is through propath NOT **** and I already got and set a payment plan for that bill. So I called to dispute the **** bill and get it itemized, the itemization only said "emergency service" THAT IS NOT ITEMIZED.. Very scammy. So after my second call to dispute I have received a bill for the same date lowered to $509.10 I AM NOT PAYING **** FOR BREATHING IN THE WAITING ROOM!! I called Hood *********** and another local news station to get to the bottom of these scam bills. If **** doesn't want to work with people maybe they will work with the government after they get charged with fraud.
