Business owner claims to specialize in watercraft repair.I had purchased a **** Polaris jet ski and needed someone to run a diagnostic on it.I live in ********** and the shop is located in *************.Jet ski was brought to shop owner named ************** 2023 never any communication from the owner. I have to call every time. In the middle of June 2023 owner says he found the issue provided me a total. We had an agreement when I drove up there Ill give you $400 first once the parts arrive he said estimated a week I will the other $300. He agreed. 06/29/2023 I called to see if the parts came in he said you never paid me the $300. And from there the same response the $300. 06/30/2023 I went up to pick up my jet ski to find everything disassembled and not put together. I kindly asked him to put the parts back tomorrow and he refused stating hes doing me a favor for the next mechanic to work on it. He stated if he was to put it back on he was going to charge me the $200 again. Officers were called but since its a civil matter they cannot do much. I have never heard of a mechanic doing diagnostic work and returning a clients belongings dissembled and says thats my charge. I asked if this is how you do your work to all your clients and he says Ive never put it back.

The customer brought the ski in for repair said that it would not run. Her friend couldn't explain what was wrong so she had to explain translate to me the problem. They said the ski wouldn't run but would make a noise. So i told them that I would have to check it out to find the problem and that it would cost ****** for the check out witch they agreed. I checked the normal things that could be the problem and had to call her back to let her know that I needed to check the flywheel keyway, the **** valves, and the carbuator for the problem at no extra charge. She agreed. So i started to do that to find the problem. Every time I did checked the problem every week she would call and ask if it was ready. It did take a while to find the problem. Al the while this is the peak season for repairs on watercraft. She called again and i finally found the problem and told her that the ski needed a stator or a CDI box or both I did not know witch so the best thing to do was to put the CDI box first but if that didnt fix it the stator would need to be put in. I told her that the parts where ****** and she didn't want to fix the ski and she would come pick it up. So i said ok. She and her friend  should up to pick up the ski and talked it over and decided to fix the ski and she gave me ****** for the parts and i told her that i needed the full ****** to order the parts. She said that she would bring the rest next week. I never saw her again. Then she called and asked if i ordered the parts and i said i need the ****** to order the parts. She said that she was going to come pick up the ski that next week. I said ok. That was on wednesday she called on thursday and said that she would be there on friday to pick up the ski. She should up and i gave her the refund of ****** because the check out was ******. On check out on the ski is to find the problem. And I found the problem and she didn't want me to fix it. and she wanted me to put it back together and i said it would cost ****** more to finish. and then she go t mad at me and called the Police and I couldnt help her any more. I told the officer that she wanted me to put it back together he understood. Unless she pays for putting it back together.
