I'm reaching out to BBB because I was mislead and taken advantage of by the Waverly apartments. I had to pay 1226.77 to move in the apartments even though the previous apartments had no record of an eviction or broken lease. I received my keys to the apartment on 7/31/24 and when I walked the apartment they didn't change the rug and just shampooed the carpet and it still had stains. The stove metal was chipped and the burner didnt fit. The refrigerator had an oder and was missing the door handle. The inside of the kitchen cabinet wood had water damage. The restroom tub have rust stains and paint was caked up over it. The shower head was filthy and not replaced and there is dead bugs in the apartment and a bug infestation. I've returned my keys because I was told these issues would be fixed and it wasnt fixed. Now I have to pay them 1520.00 plus two months of rent to get out of the lease even though I never moved in because of all the issues. I have photos of the issues in the apartment but the file is too large.

She applied for an apartment with us on 6/21/24 to move in on or around 7/31/24. Once we ran our credit background history it was determined she would be approved with conditions of $2000.00 deposit or $1000.00 (non-refundable) high risk application fee. She decided on option two. Fees were paid and she signed the contract and moved into the apartment. She turned in a move in condition form with a few things listed on the condition form that she would like done. I have attached a copy of the MI condition form with notes those things were completed on 8/12/24.  On 8/22/24 she turned in a written notice to vacate the apartment saying that she would have to be out of town for an extended amount of time due to a family emergency. We informed of of the EARLY lease termination fees as per the lease agreement she had signed. Please review all documents and let me know if anything further is needed from me at this time.
