We paid the vehicle off last month, April 2025 and are due a refund which when I called today and asked about it I was told that it wasnt processed yet. I was also told that it would take at least 30 days to receive our money back. This is unacceptable customer service. If youre late on a payment 1st Investors will call you 3-4 times daily. This place has double standards which is not fair. I would also think that $20.00 per day should be added on to the refund from the day it was paid off until the refund is received by us. Ill also be filing a complaint with the State.

********* ***** and ***** ******** purchased a Compass in 2022. The unit was stolen in July 2024. We've submitted all requested documents including police report. Our insurance company sent approximately $18, 000. This left a balance of about $11, 000, which has been paid by Allied for gap insurance. My credit report shows the account is still open and active, which prevented me from getting another automobile. It's been confirmed that allied has paid their portion to close out the loan. It's been almost a year. Please help. Also, I was employed by then and still was unable to speak to anyone to help me. You can never get through to anyone in Insurance.

First investors is not allowing me to pay on my account. This is ridiculous. Because I made 2 payments this month they literally will NOT allow me to pay more. I have a third party that was helping me to make payments on my Elantra which is my ONLY means of transportation. Something had occurred on his bank account and I did not know that it was connected to the payments made. I had a suspicion that the payments were affect; I called the bank who were very indirect about the situation. I tried discussing payments but the individual who answered the call would not discuss the payments with me. Then the automobile was repossessed. I suspect that they are running a CHOP SHOP after their treatment and looking them up on ******. They have a location extremely far away in *****, and I had received an email 'offering me a job' and then they took my car. I am living in a disaster area after ******. I think they are scam artists, to put it mildly. I now not only need my car, but am actually nervous for my life. I do not address the local police department due their continual unprofessional misconduct but I would never do business with ********** ever again.

Regardless of claiming they explained the payment situation, they did not. In fact, I am not even sure if they individual on the call 'speak Eenish' (I hate to write it smart aleck like this). I need my car to work a job and a third party has the money set aside. I was told that the payment would be processed and I could have the car returned and refinance or whatever I needed to do. These agents are so professional; I also am suspicious that the impound lot and/or dealership or bank or someone is committing criminal action. I have someone pirating through my internet modem or router? I do not consent to this harassment and have reached out to the ***. I think the harassment could be coming from the bank somehow (have they ever had a Mr. ******* **** ******* as a client anywhere in this network? He is the father of my third ****** ****** but that is CONFIDENTIAL INFORMATION). I had an issue with a car lot connected to ***** previously; I was taken AGAINST MY WILL TO WORK AT A CAR LOT.

If there is a connection, I need help pressing CRIMINAL CHARGES. However, regarding the payment, I have someone that was stepping in to help; they are impeding my right to work! I want to press all applicable charges because there should have been no issue. Someone scammed the other person's card or they filed payment under a DIFFERENT NAME that they did not recognize. Imagine I call First in Financial Services and they answer Stellantis; how do the charges show?

They did not explain any of this nor allow communication between and I the third party. My father had fraudulent charges and had to get a new card, per my understanding.

I have some IDIOTS on the *** through my modem going: DID *** GET *** CARD ****?!

I need CRIMINAL CHARGES PRESSED and they need to stop contacting me about some 'big surprise' that I am going to 'week up preegneat' or some stupid crap!

Irregardless, they are refusing to run the payment on a new card and then holding my automobile!

I WANT THE PAYMENT RELEASED WITH THE MAXIMUM FINANCIAL COMPENSATION ALLOWED BY LAW.

I will also be filing a complaint to ******* as they never issued me the owner's manual.

They hold the loan agreement for my **** escape. The last 2 payments have had to be paid by phone, but usually I pay online. Usually it goes through within a couple days. They are waiting 8 days after the time frame of me paying it to process it. They claim they process after the 5 day period. I was under the impression it would be taken care of. So what happens is that they are adding on a fee on top of it by processing it 8 days later. This is causing my interest to go higher. I pay ahead of time so it wont do so. They are now charging me a fee and a return check fee which is ridiculous since I am paying ahead of time.

      Business Response

Attached you will find our review of the recent payments.  The payments are timely processed, but were rejected by the bank.   This happened with the last two payments.  We are going to waive the fee as a courtesy.  If you believe that the payments were not rejected by the bank, or if we are misunderstanding the concern, please let us know at *****************************.  Or we can have a Customer Experience Team member contact you to discuss the concern.  As for extra accrued interest, I see that you have requested and have received 5 deferred months.  As disclosed in the applications, that will result in more interest accruing as would have if all payments were timely made.

About two months ago around the middle of July 2024, I called First Investors in order to surrender my 2017 Chevrolet equniox. I could not afford to pay for the truck due to becoming blind and left with partial eye sight. The company said that there was nothing they could do in order to keep the truck. I have been paying for insurance for the past 2 months and I still have the truck. I called them twice about this. The first time they said that they didnt get the sign paperwork that I have proof that was sent. So they sent the paperwork again. I signed it and sent it again. After a few days, I called to see if they got it. They stated yes. A *** called me the first time about the surrender and I asked when was someone coming to get the truck. The *** stated that the ***o company was busy with the hurricane ******. The second time I got a call about picking up the car. They told me that it would be 24 to 48 hours before they came. Each time I spoke to the ***s they told me to put the keys under the mat. I told them no to that because I am responsible for that truck. Now its October 25, 2024 and I am still waiting for them to come get the truck. I would like the past due amount erased and all past due charges erased because of this. I cannot drive the car and I cannot afford to pay for it. I would love to keep the truck for my daughter as a second vehicle but after all this I cannot afford it. I request that I get refund for the insurance that I paid in order to keep my truck ok. Without insurance I dont know what could happen to my car. I have paid 1517 for insurance.

My vehicle was in a bankruptcy that was discharged in July 2024. My bankruptcy lawyer started receiving phone calls from first investors about surrendering the vehicle. At this time the vehicle was at another location a auto shop and it was inoperable. I was in contact with the bankruptcy department about this issue since July and August. I was finally able to get it back in October. I contacted the bankruptcy department four times and left voicemails about the vehicle needing to picked up. I spoke to someone in the bankruptcy department on October 10. She said they would have someone contact me to arrange a pick up. Since then I have not heard anything from them. I called again today I was transferred to collection department and spoke to someone about the issue. I was put on hold for one hour and thirty- seven minutes. This is ridiculous, I need the car GONE because It is causing an issue with the property I lived at.

. it was March 9th i had my vehicle repossessed from where i worked, i knew nothing about this until i called them about it and i was told i was 85 days late and at that point i offered them the 2 months that i had and they refused them which would have made i payment late and i had already planned on for the next week then i would have been on track. i have had friends and family giving me a ride to work every day i also know i can't go and get a loan right know to pay it off since i had fallen behind last year i had explained to them the situation me being in and out of the hospital with covid and pneumonia together plus the person i live with lost his job last year and trying to keep up the bills for the house and my bills. i had talked with an attorney they said file bankruptcy so i did first chapter 7 and that was dismissed right away and right after that i filled chapter 13 three different times which all of them were dismissed mostly because i couldn't get the paperwork to them in a timely manner without a vehicle it was hard, even filling and giving them the case # i was still not awarded my vehicle which i was told from them i would never get my vehicle back. i had tried calling them and i was either put on hold for a long period of time and i cant do that at work or i was hung up on and a few times left a message to call me back and they never did. they are going to say it was repossessed 3 times for late payments it was the first time that i was told of no insurance which at the time i switched and they sent the information to the wrong address. to let you know in our state regulation is i should have been notified before going they took to the auction so i could retrieve my belongings i was not, i called to find out that the items were trashed back in April, i received no notice or correspondence from them, im hoping my vehicle has not sold i would really like it back. that is all i really want is my vehicle back.

      Regards,

attached is the answer from the ************************* and i will be filling in small claims against you.  in your contract it does not say after the 3rd time you cannot reinstate but it does say that your are suppose to notify me before it goes to auction in case i wanted to buy it back and also to let me know i can get my belongings out of the vehicle and both were not done i did by the way find out that my items were dumped in the trash per you request.    Also you refusing my payments were also wrong because it was less the 90 days before you took my vehicle and there is a clause that states i have 90 days before you repossess and you did take my vehicle before then.  actually i was told this by the repossession department at your office.

I found this company on ************ as a way to refinance my car. After having the care for 5 months I refinanced with First Investors. This was a huge mistake. I have not received any billing statements from First Investors for two years. This caused my account to be 30 days late for two years. Before moving to the new address my payments were always on time/ I didnt receive a statement, despite multiple requests and the assurance that my address was correctly updated in your system. They did not update my address until April 2024 After I placed a call on 3/11/24 As a result, I have been unable to make timely payments and have incurred numerous late fees, which I believe have been unjustly charged. Upon contacting the customer service department to resolve this issue, I was met with rude and unprofessional behavior by ********* Basset. Instead of receiving the assistance I needed, I was dismissed, and my concerns were not adequately addressed. This lack of support only exacerbated the situation, leading to further frustration. The dispute department sent me to customer service. ********* told me that I never wanted to update my address because then they would know where my car was. She stated that I never requested an address change. However I updated my phone number with them. I asked her to pull the phone calls because the dispute department said she could. She told me she couldn't. The phone calls would say that I updated my address. I believe that First Investors intentionally failed to update my address and send me billing statements as a scheme to charge late fees and collect additional money from me. They have received hundreds of dollars in late fees practice is not only unethical but also potentially illegal. I request an immediate investigation into this matter and a detailed explanation of why my address was not updated and why I did not receive any billing statements.

      Better Business Bureau:

I have reviewed the response made by the business in reference to complaint ID ********, and have determined that this proposed action would not resolve my complaint.   The company did not updated my address until two years  after I asked. I have proof that I spoke to the company at least three times and asked them to update my address. They charged me fees even thought they never provided me with a statement.

[Provide details of why you are not satisfied with this resolution.]

      Regards,
