On 11/01/2023 my driveway and deck were replaced by Allied Outdoor Solutions. They used a white curing compound that was unevenly sprayed on and left scribble marks on the concrete. I was told by at least 5 different people and given at least 6 different time estimates that the color would change and blend in as the concrete cured. I asked for a representative to inspect the job. On 11/14/2023 Allied Outdoor Solutions sent 2 different representatives to inspect the job. They both agreed the job needed to be redone and a work order would be issued. There has been several attempts to correct this issue. All have failed. Another inspection was scheduled for 12/13/2023 and Allied Outdoor Solutions DID NOT SHOW UP OR CALL! My voicemails and emails are not being answered.

We apologize for the issues you've encountered with the recent driveway work. After meeting with you on-site to assess the situation and thoroughly reviewing your concerns, we've decided to demo and repour the concrete entirely. Our commitment is to exceed your expectations, and we appreciate your patience as we work to make things right promptly.

Allied installed our deck less than a month ago and there is a 6 foot crack in the middle of it. They have said there is a no escalation policy. We will see if they do the right thing and correct this. There is no way we should have to pay for this when it was installed a month ago.

Contracted with AOS for backyard facelift with completion of project October 2021 - hardscaping overlay of Carvestone product for large surface area, refacing crumbling common wall, removal of large boulder from upper patio to extend step. Refaced front sidewalk. Garage floor epoxy. Price = ~ $35K Problem: Carvestone has been: cracking, splitting, pitting, chipping, staining/discoloring/fading. Large crack on the new extended step. Small chunk’s of concrete pulling out. Mastic used between slabs is pulling up in several areas. Several areas of gray Mastic turning black. Pool coping is cracking, area around pool aerator has no finish on it. Several areas of stain on pre-existing pebble tek. When it rains, there is a “spider-like” cracking appearance that lasts for weeks. I was told this was normal and would eventually stop doing this. It has not. Foundation of wall that was repaired is now beginning to crumble. Garage: contractor did not seal cabinets with plastic; when the grinding was done, it completely covered all the insides of the cabinets with a thick layer of fine dust requiring the hiring of a company to clean it at a cost of $350+. This did not include cleaning of the inside/contents of the many Christmas storage containers out there. In addition, the epoxy itself has different shading/coloration. AOS tells me it is from the lighting at different times of the day. Not the case. Clearly areas have an uneven/inconsistent application of the product. The area under the refrigerator was not done at all. This has been an ongoing concern that I have expressed verbally several times. I have been trying to get this resolved. The company has not had good follow up. The tech did come out in late January, pressure washed the entire area in prep for repair. He indicated he would call to schedule service in a few days after allowing area time to dry. Appointment was scheduled - no show no call back. Furniture was left all askew on the patio. At this point I am not trusting AOS to repair/finish/complete the project in a satisfactory manner. This was a lot of money, for the end result. Whether it is a poor product for this environment, or the application, or both this is unsatisfactory to me. And I think a sizable refund is in order. I uploaded several photos, but not sure they stayed when I saved to continue later. I have numerous photos I can provide if they did not load

Contracted with Allied Outdoor Solutions for Carvestone patio work Januaary 2021. Work was completed March 2021. March 2022 color had faded and concrete was showing. Also, pitted areas with small black dots began to appear. I contacted Allied Outdoor Solutions and was told someone named Jesse would inspect my patio. I and was informed by Jesse that I needed to reseal the work. When I reminded Jesse that it had only been one year since work was completed and my paperwork indicated I should not have to reseal for 2 years. His response was that document was no guarantee. Jesse said he would report the information to his Supervisor, Sergio ******. Time passed with no resolution and no response from Sergio. and I then contacted the sales representative, Chris ********. Chris said he would contact Sergio and see what could be done. By May 2022, I had not been contacted by anyone and reached out to Chris ******** again. June 27, 2022 I again texted Chris ******** because I had not been contacted by anyone from Allied Outdoor Solutions. Shortly after the June text, Jesse called to say there was nothing the company was going to do and the reason it had faded was because my patio and pool area was in the sun. That was a ridiculous statement. The total cost for work on my patio was $11,584 and it is substandard work.

      BBB,

We welcome the opportunity to resolve any issues while honoring our contract between the client and Allied. After our team inspected the surface, we came to a conclusion that the Carvestone was experiencing normal color fading due to heavy sun exposure. Our team member reached out to the client to let her know the solution would be to reseal the Carvestone patio and pool deck area. Unfortunately, the client did not accept that solution. To provide a bit more insight on our resealing process, our Carvestone product does require a reseal every 2 years. At that point, the client has the option for Allied to reseal it, or for the client to reseal it themselves. Many of our reseals include (if they choose to have Allied complete it) warrantied items, general repairs, the reseal itself, and lastly, color touch ups. After the reseal, the surface will look brand new once complete. As always, we are happy to walk the client through the reseal process again over the phone or in person.

We will keep the BBB updated as necessary and helpful.

This did not address the pitted, black spots that appeared in the Carvestone. I disagree that this is normal fading because I had allied outdoor solutions Carvestone at my previous home in New Ulm, Texas and color never faded to degree that you could see white concrete. Patio and pool in New Ulm home were also in direct sunlight.

Carvestone was completed July of 2021. There were issues with white spotting. Many phones calls to get warranty work performed, many times told that company was backlogged, meetings on sight to review the problem. I Asked to escalate to management in the company was told there is no one to escalate to discuss. Someone unexpectedly came in March of 2022, worked on one area of the pool deck, and made the area look worse than was before. Worker did not speak English, and just left after working on the one area and leaving the area much worse than before. Also, the product was misrepresented when sold. We were told that the carvestone was cooler than the aggregate we had, and that it would not be slippery. Both of these points were a major factor in deciding to move forward. The surface is much hotter, and were told the slippery issue could be resolved if we pay $2400 to get the surface resealed. I call every week and am told that it is trying to get scheduled. No one ever gets back to me. I initiate every call.

But I requested and have not received a detailed description of the work to be performed to ensure it addresses both slippery issue as well as the area(s) that are in need of restoration. I started this project in March of 2021 to build a 15'x20' structure (patio), 880 sq/ft concrete/carvestone, and patio that included a outdoor kitchen with a wood burning fireplace. This was a large project and quoted a timeline of 3-6 months. There are many issues now in month 13 of this project. As of right now, Allied had to tear down the Chimney (due to installing not to fire code) which I had to press multiple times to get them to see this. Only after I hired my own certified contractor to point out all the issues (exposed wooden beam, no flue, height of chimney, no damper, ect). They hired a sub contractor that did not have experience building wood burning chimneys to build this and when they stated it was good to go, I had five fires until I realized the smoke problem which led to the hired contractor on my end. This placed my family and home at risk for fire. Allied is in month 13 and I have yet to have this project complete. I also noted a gas line that was installed on the back end of the fireplace that is exposed to risk of people bumping the shutoff valve and destroying the ground cable (which the Allied crew already has done). Allied responded back that they will not move the gas line and I would have to pay for that. They also did not meet the terms of "Turnkey" for which I paid for and are not willing to renegotiate terms for price. This has been a horrible experience and I have been very patience with them, but I have not been able to use my backyard for over a year now, and I feel I can't trust Allied to complete quality work.

This company has failed to complete the work that we had agreed soon. We have my numerous back and forth emails about the quality of work, time frame of work and most importantly communication. 1- concrete demo- this service was removed properly but they have not come out to complete the patch work on the existing concrete so now the foundation on the side of my house looks horrible. 2- the new concrete- this service was done well. The reason the concrete is a different texture than the existing concrete it is next to, is because our end goal was to carvestone the entire backyard. Which we ended up canceling the carvestone because of the drainage issues that have accrued. 3-The French drains- this service was a desister. The work was done improperly on both sides of the house. One side was unlevel so the water did always make it to the road. The other side of the house has installed on the higher side of the yard so the water drained next to the drains and into the street. Also the second drain was initially planned to go to the road. The company came back and said they miss calculated so they wanted to add thousands of dollars to bring it out 10 more feet. We agreed. Then after the install it was not brought out to the street and it ended up in the middle of my front yard causing a bigger mess when it rained. -With the drains, they caused a leak in my water line which I had to get a plumber to come out and fix. It cost us $1300. Now I am willing to call it even with this company and close out the ticket but they owe me money. This is the breakdown they have provided me with proof that they will compensate me for the leak repair. The math is pretty simple. What they said Demo and concrete pour $11,214 Plumbing (leak repair) reimbursement: $1350 Total $12,564 (-$10,600 down payment) What we said ****$11,214 minus $1,350 is $9,864 We already paid $10,600 so minus $9,864 would be $736 that they owe us.

      BBB,

Thank you for your help regarding this situation with the **********. We were first notified of a drainage issue on 2/4/22. We went out to meet with the customer to look into this issue. We determined that because of the way their yard sits, they were getting more water than what the drains could handle. We worked on getting a change order to add additional drainage installed to help compensate for the extra water flow on 2/11. It took a few days to get a course of action in place which was decided on 2/23. By 3/7, one of our field supervisors created a new Work Order. Mrs. ******** mentioned another issue regarding a plumbing leak on 3/10 (the 1st time this was mentioned). Mrs. ******** had scheduled a plumber to come out, but we wanted to address the issue if we were the ones to have caused it. She canceled the plumber to let us handle it. On 3/22, we had a concrete crew meet our field supervisor and he determined an irrigation crew would be best to handle the drainage issues. We could have a crew onsite for 3/24; however, Mrs. ******** had hired the plumber to take a look and would not cancel them. On 3/30, a project manager was onsite and he agreed the work needed to be redone. He created a new WO to send to the ********** for approval. The ********** did not want us to do anymore work on their property. We credited the amount they paid for the plumber from their total invoice amount regarding the leak. We explained this was not up to our standard of work and we were more than happy to correct it. On three different occasions we asked them to let us repair it or we would need to collect to close out. They did not want us to repair. We also took off the total amount owed for the drainage work to help compensate for the work done. Unfortunately, the customer’s were not satisfied with the time length it took to be able to help correct the issue. We will keep the BBB updated as necessary in the days ahead.

      Thank you,

Your company caused a leak in my main water line. As a business owner, you are responsible for fixing it. Not me! Your company owes me for the leak your subcontractors caused. $1,350

Let’s not mention I had to call your company back out yesterday (5-09) to my house and fix an issue with the slab of concrete your company installed. (The person you had come look at our slab was embarrassed to be be wearing an allied shirt.) We specifically said cap off the sprinklers. It’s on our original documents. As pictured, that was not done. If there are any other issues regarding my newly landscaped lawn (that only took 4 days to complete), I will be adding that cost into my small claims. I have looked over the invoice that was attached. Im a little confused on the numbers. If we are going off of numbers on this sheet, you owe us $2,5000. I think thats where the actual confusion is. I am asking for $1,350 but if you want to go off of these numbers, I have broken it down for you.

      $26,500        Initial contract total
$2000           additional 100 LF of drainage add on (my yard from front to back is 100 feet, how did you miss this much of drainage?) This service was never performed
$500             additional drainage add on (from gutters) This service was never performed
$29,000        contract total after add ons
      -$2000         Service was never performed
      -$500           Service was never performed
$26,500       Total after services deducted that were never performed
-$11,000      Remove CS from the project.
      -$1,350        Reimbursement for leak repair
      -$4,086        Removal of drainage
$10,064       Total after the services which were never performed
-$10,600      Our deposit we paid at the beginning
$536            The difference from total minus deposit
$1,964         Additional money we paid (because allied threatened to send us to collections if we didnt pay it)
      $2,500         ($536+$1,964)

On this invoice I think you guys over looked the extra add ons and forgot to take them off. (Labeled in red) So did you want to pay us the $2,5000 that you really owe me or would you like to pay me the $1,350 that I initially asked you when starting this claim.

You actually forced me to sign the final invoice and although I told you in an email the numbers were wrong you came back in an email with a threat to send me to collects if I didn’t pay that amount by Monday at 12pm. So you made me pay for services that I did not get done by your company and when I tried to tell you the numbers were wrong you insisted that I was wrong and you were right. So now that we have found why the numbers are wrong, there is no more need to go back and forth explaining why you owe us money. Just pay us back for service you did not perform. Why is this such a big deal? It’s not your money and you didn’t perform the services. It’s that simple.

      BBB,

Thank you for continuing to help through this situation. The reason Mrs. ********** math does not add up is because the credits she is claiming in red are included in the green box (please refer to the first attachment). Essentially, she is claiming those credits twice.

We have also attached an accurate breakdown as it shows the numbers the same way the invoice lays them out. The credit for drainage of $4,086 is (Original scope ($1,586) +  additional 100 LF ($2,000) + tie in ($500)).

Here we are going on 2 months back and forth and I’m curious to know how all the sudden there is all of these breakdowns from Allied Outdoor Solutions but not one time could you give me numbers before I made this claim. Allied outdoor solutions answers were always “we don’t give break downs for individual services”. I have that multiple times in writing via text and email. We can keep going back and forth and round and round but the bottom line is that you owe us money for services that we did NOT get done by your company. You keep making these prices up as you go and we see right through you. You destroyed my yard and caused a leak that you say you didn’t want to pay for and now all the sudden you paid for it and then there were extra add ins that y’all kept coming up with that we’re still on our contract that need to be taken off. So we now want our money back ($2,500) that’s rightfully ours. Again why is this such a big deal? Do you not have our money? This is crazy!

What is clear is that you have a new explanation each time you respond. I said your math was wrong at closing but your response was to threaten us by sending us to collections. I had no choice but to pay it and fight you this way. Again you charged me for services that were not performed and I want my money back. It’s that simple.

If your only question is about the $2500 credit, we have included that as a part of the -$4086 Change Order reduction. You have received this credit. We have not charged you for services that were not performed. The price for the contracted items that were not completed was deducted with the Change Order reduction.

      Thank you,

We hired Allied to remodel our pool deck back in the summer of 2021. We were told it would be August before we could get on the schedule. At the end of August they came out and did the demo and after several delays, carvestone was put down in October. Couple of weeks later when our pool remodel was wrapping up (by another company) we advised Allied that our pool people accidently power-washed the deck removing the sealant. Allied said we would need to file a maintenance request which we did explaining what happened. We got no response. After several calls and emails someone responded. In Jan 2022, Gabriel from the maintenance dept come out and look at the deck in which he said it needed immediate repair. He said the scheduling dept would be in contact. Again, Allied went silent with no communication. We did not hear from anyone, until we called and emailed several times to see when they would be sending someone out. We finally were contacted after I send a very stern email to Allied advising that we were very displeased with the service we were getting considering how much we spent on the deck (over $20k) and that we would not be referring anyone to them and regretted hiring them. Within 24 hours, my husband got a call saying someone would be contacting us to schedule. We rec'd an email saying they were waiting on us to sign off on the repair order, which we never rec'd. Order resent in March '22. We signed off on the repair order and again went into scheduling limbo. While waiting for the scheduling call, I noticed areas where the carvestone was cracking and crumbling (on the lip of the pool, the edges of the steps, where the steps meet the concrete. Pictures sent and we received a call right away. When repairman showed up he was there to only seal the deck. He was surprised at the condition. Took photos/videos and called supervisor. Need to reschedule again. We will have take 3rd day off to be at home for repair. Very unhappy with Allied!

      BBB,

Thank you for your help regarding this matter with Mrs. Le Blanc. We have actively worked to ensure that this project was brought to a thorough completion, honoring both their contract and the issues at hand. We faced scheduling delays due to things in and out of our control, and we apologize for the inconvenience it caused. There was a moment of limbo as our team determined whether the issue required a reseal or maintenance work to ensure we provided the best possible solution. We are happy to let you know, as of April 21, 2022, this job has been completed efficiently and effectively.

We will keep the BBB updated as is necessary and helpful.

      Thank you,

Allied Outdoor Solutions was hired to construct a new patio extension , construction started on May 2021, and was completed in October 2021. The construction crew that performed the framing and carpentry work did nothing to cover the adjacent pool, dropping trash, construction materials, mud, nails, wood and other objects, even dropping food wrappings, and water bottles into it on a daily basis. We complained about it to Allied, sent pictures of the damage and stains to the gunnite. Their representative agreed that none of that was acceptable to them. When the construction was completed in October, a punch list was created so that the last few items would be taken care of in a few weeks. Three items are on the list: 1- Pounding in nails pops that were left exposed, as well as paint touch up and caulking and painting electric saw marks. 2- Finishing off a concrete patio edge that was not properly floated. 3- Acid washing the pool gunnite to remove the stains and damage created by the debris that was thrown in the pool. The punch list was signed and Allied agreed to schedule the work in a few weeks. To date, nothing in the list has been completed. Several text messages were exchanged during January 2022, but since, we have not received any communication, and telephone calls are not returned. They have already been paid in full.

      BBB,

Thank you for facilitating this situation. We want to apologize to Mr. ******** as the repair was set to begin scheduling in October of 2021 and somehow fell off the radar. That is no excuse and we take full responsibility. One of our construction coordinators has been in communication with the customer via text and our team is working diligently to get this handled as quickly as possible.

We will keep the BBB updated accordingly.

      Thank you,

I requested service back in November after attending a Home and Garden Show - upfront folks were great. Fast forward to getting work actually done. Problem 1 - The laid the concrete 4 inches above ground which required them to have to place a incline on the opposite side of the fence to be able to bring anything into the backyard - which still causes issues when using a lawn mower extra because of drop. Problem 2 - Fire pit which was laid was poorly done and used cheap top and stone. Was told they would match the stone on my house which is multi-color and firepit stone is not. They even came out and said Firepit looks bad so then they would tear it down and rebuild - that was 3 weeks ago and nothing has been done. They used the weather as an excuse (it was 80 degrees last week, with a cold spell this past weekend). Problem 3 - I have never been contacted by the stone carvers which was told they would contact multiple of times. Problem 4 - Poor communication throughout and have tried to request customer service to contact me and I have heard nothing. I have asked that the foreman be removed from my job and he still is on. Please resolve

      BBB,

We have been in communication and working with the customer to find a solution. Regarding the problems from the customer's statement, here is our response: 1. The concrete was scoped correctly, work orders were approved by customer prior to pouring and the pour matches the agreement. 2. The fire pit was built by our crew and failed inspection by our field supervisor so we demolished it, rebuilt it and the customer has confirmed they are thrilled with it. 3. Our Carvestone process is underway and the process is following the process outlined to the customer several times. We schedule a design walkthrough once the other scope items are complete in order to protect the Carvestone from damage due to other trades working. 4. We have a dedicated Coordinator available to the customer and can be reached directly by phone, text or email during business hours.

As always, we will keep the BBB updated accordingly.

      Thank you,
