      I signed up with Spark Energy for an introductory offer to save on my gas bill. I have not received information from them since I signed up they significantly increased the cost of my electric ComEd bill. I realized a sharp increase and called ComEd to find Spark Energy has been charging me, without my knowledge, more than three times what ComEd charges without any benefit to me. To add insult to injury, when I called to cancel Spark Energy they tried to keep me offering me a rate "still" more than ComEd! Spark Energy has deceived me for years. I feel concerned they deceive others. AVOID SPARK ENERGY THEY ARE A FRADULETNT RIP-OFF!

      Spark Energy called in December and sold to my elderly husband who has cognitive issues. I found the unsigned contract and called to cancel. I'm being charged $100 early termination fee even though there is no signed contract. I informed customer service that my husband is elderly and I'm the decision maker in the household but that did not matter one bit. And they tell me that they can't terminate the service until my next meter reading. Who knows when that will be- PG&E is very busy due to some storms that have left hundreds of thousands of customers without power. So it looks like I'm going to have to continue to fight with Spark to get out from under this contract that was never signed that they entered into with a vulnerable elderly person.

      Just found out about Spark Energy because apparently this company hijacked my electric energy with Com Ed back in 2018. I had no idea until my Electric Bill kept going up every month and I started to look into why. I Never gave this company permission to enter me into a contract. Com Ed has always been my electric supplier and distributor for like 50 years. I feel scammed by Spark Energy and from reading reviews I’m not the only one they did this too. So I had to cancel them as my energy supplier on 01/08/2022 so I could revert my service back to Com Ed. Also, since 2021 until now this company has been charging me outrageous variable rates. Never have I received a letter informing me that this was what was happening or I was even a customer of Spark Energy. So educate yourself on suppliers and distributors of your electricity company and scrutinize your bill carefully.

      I received a phone call from a number that’s assigned to my local electric company. The woman on the other end advised me that I entered a contract with Spark Energy “a few months ago” and a technician was on his way to my house to cut off my service within the next two hours. Did not state the reason for the termination or a balance amount. Did not attempt to collect any payments owed. Which I found strange especially since I was never issued a shutoff notice for my electricity. I told her I did not have a contract with the company. She advised me that if I did not want to continue with the alleged contract I would need to cancel the contract immediately and they would call the technician to stop the disconnection. Seemed like a lot of insight for someone who didn’t work for the other company. She then proceeded to tell me that she could connect me to Spark Energy so that I could talk to their customer service. Someone else immediately came on the line. I told the new person, who was male, that I did not have a contract with the company. He advised that I did and that I checked off several boxes agreeing to the service. I’m 1000% sure I did not sign a contract with this company. He then proceeded to tell me that he has a voice recording. He asked if I would like to hear it. I told him to play it. He then told me they would mail it within 3-5 business days. This is after he told me I checked off something in person. I told him to cancel whatever they had in my name and he told me that since I was canceling a 24 month contract early I would need to pay $900 for a early termination fee. I hung up and called my actual electric company. While I was on hold with my electric company I received several more calls from the number. If I hung up on Spark why would someone from my electric company call me right back? I’ve never done business with this company. I do not plan on doing business with this company. They are not involved in my electric service in any capacity.

      Sparks Energy misrepresented as **** when I signed what I thought was a necessary agreement to contract for gas. It wasn't until this year that I realized that I didn't need Sparks delivery after talking with a **** representative. I have been paying Sparks approximately $27 dollars a month as compared to $8 through my electric company. That equate roughly $1440.00 for a total of six years. What a rip off. I contacted my electric company and alerted them about Sparks' fraud.

      I wanted to reach out to say that I have been in a argument with Spark Energy for over 3 months now!! They have our residential house as a commercial building and is over changing us! We never had a contact with this company but they will not reimburse us for the overage they changed for two months. We have to call ComEd and get set on a monthly bill cycle that our monthly payment is over $270 a month. This is just for electricity! This is all because Spark Energy was over changing us on our bill and they take those amount to figure our monthly payment for 6 months now! We have been paying this for over 2 months now and it is so hard! I am now emailing back and forth with Spark Energy because I can not talk on the phone with them anymore! They never salve the problem just keep passing me around to other employees!! I do not know what to do anymore!

      They were charging me two and a half times the normal rate of energy from ComEd, it's ridiculous that I have a thousand dollar electric bill and being charged over 300 dollars each month

      I am NOT a customer. They tried to tell me i was going to be disconnected with Duke Energy and switched to spark energy and they only way to keep electric is to pay $917 to buy out contract I NEVER SIGNED OR TALKED TO ANYONE ABOUT. This is a huge scam. I contacted my electric company for anfraud alert in case they try anything else. Someone needs to shut them down.

      If anyone from this company comes to your door, just tell them to go away. If you ask them if they're trying to sell you something or sign you up for anything, they will lie and say that they just need to check on your PG&E billing rate. I gave the guy every opportunity to tell the truth and he kept lying. He was not happy that I googled Spark Energy right in front of him and found out that he was indeed trying to sell me something. Isn't that illegal? If it's not illegal, it is definitely unethical. You have to be pretty shady to come out looking worse than PG&E.

      Spark energy has on multiple occasions taken out 2 to 3 times the payment amount. I have been told on multiple occasions that they have a problem processing payments online. This last instance they over charged me by more than $660 dollars. Takes 5 days to correct issue which has caused over draft fees from my bank. Will never recommend anyone doing business with spark energy. They are pathetic
