This IS a SCAM don’t get their PLAn: I pay the top premium for LegalEase legal plan via my employer. I have a noise dispute which is covered under plan. Originally they assigned to me a lawyer who said she will no go to court, just send a letter. Then they assigned another lawyer who made me document the entire case prior to speaking with me, when I spoke with him for 5 min, he had not reviewed any of the documentation he made me prepare and said that I had to pay him $250 to write the letter and we I called the LegalEase they originally said that is correct because I did not have a police report, then I told but I have a complaint with the city of Miami building department since the police see it as a civil matter and will not issue any report. Then LegalEase said that they will cover 100% of the cost for the demand letter and the litigation will be also covered under the plan and to wait for their call to have the lawyer to start the case. LegalEase never called me back, so I called again today 2/11/2022 and spoke with Barbara she said that I have to pay for the letter and I said that is not what they told me before, she said again I will approve your claim and call you back and never called me. Looks like they colude with lawyer to given them clients to pay directly and don’t pay any benefits.

Thank you for your valuable feedback. We take reports such as this very seriously, as our goal is to make your experience utilizing our legal referral service as stress free as possible. Our Quality Assurance team manager is happy to be working with you to resolve your referenced concerns at this time. We completely understand your concerns mentioned above and apologize profusely for the confusion and lack of clarity that has occurred up to this point. As reviewed with our Quality Assurance team, the specificities of your legal matter are quite complex and it has indeed taken a bit of back and forth communication with our team, yourself and the plan attorneys referred to you to to understand exactly which benefit is appropriate to use in an effort to extend the maximum assistance your way.

We look forward to continuing working with you to resolve this as quickly as possible. We remain committed to seeing this matter through with you and again thank you for your feedback.

We contracted with Legal Access Plans via our employer to have one of their attorneys set up a Will & Trust for my wife and I. We followed through and had the paperwork that was prepared notarized, but upon closer inspection, we noticed that their attorney named someone completely unknown to us as the Successor Trustee in Florida. Thankfully we are still alive and healthy, but if something had happened to us, this unknown (to us) person would have been legally named the trustee of our estate. We have reached out to both the attorney that prepared the paperwork as well as Legal Access Plans but we would like to know if this person is known to the attorney, and if this is happening to more people, it should be investigated.

Thank you for your valuable feedback regarding your recent experience with your referred attorney. We appreciate the opportunity to follow up and address this matter with the attorney office in question. Our Director of Network development has been personally in touch with the referred attorney and has noted this feedback into the attorney file for further investigation. I was happy to see upon review of this matter that your case is being handled by the LegalEASE quality assurance team, and that a payment reimbursement has been authorized and should be arriving to you shortly. We take matters such as this very seriously, as you mentioned the potential impact that this situation could have posed. I am very happy to hear that all is being resolved at this time, and please rest assured that your referred attorney is being followed up with appropriately.

[A default letter is provided here which indicates your acceptance of the business's response.  If you wish, you may update it before sending it.]

      Better Business Bureau:

I have reviewed the response made by the business in reference to complaint ID ********, and find that this resolution would be satisfactory to me.

Thank you.  The referred attorney’s mistake was apologized for but still a pretty serious and alarming mistake. If our attorney does charge a fee for updating the page that your attorney sent us I will let you know.

      Sincerely,

      Jason
