Legacy started the rebuilt of my home after my house caught on fire on April 2021. They have had delays in starting and finishing on the projected dates. I was able to move back home on May 8, 2022. The repairs were still not complete. Legacy had to hire a different crew to fix all the work that was not done correctly. Now, they do not answer my calls or text messages. If they do reply to text messages they keep telling me that they will complete it and reach out to me by Friday and they never do. I have called the Owner of the company and he does not reply. Meanwhile, my insurance paid them everything and my home is not complete. There is a part of my home that the electricity still does not work, the jets in the master tub do not work, the kitchen has cabinets that are not fixed, and the fence door does not work properly.

Mr. Ronny the owner of Legacy Reconstruction offered me his services when my rental house burned down on July 8, 2021. Mr. Ronny told me that he and his company would rebuild my house in 4 to 6 months and that if I hired him for the job he would fight for me against the insurance company and he also suggested that I not hire a public adjuster that I had no need for a PA since he could do the same thing a PA does and that the money he would save me would be used for the reconstruction of the house. When the insurance company sent me the first two checks, I gave them to Mr. Ronny so he could start the job. At first during the demolition phase everything was fine, but things changed quickly, and the work began to go very slowly and when I called Mr. Ronny or the project manager Mr. Lee, they gave me many excuses and little by little they stopped answering my calls or texts. The work continued although very sporadic and the subcontractors that Mr. Ronny hired did a very flawed job and caused a lot of damage throughout the house. The scope of work was not followed, and many things were not even started or were half done and with poor quality of materials in order to have more money left at the end of the work for the company. There are a lot of Issues that need to be corrected or redone and Mr. Ronny ***** refuses to take my calls and no work is getting done at the moment and the house cannot be occupy, just so that you understand what I am talking about, here are a few examples of what Mr. Ronny ***** and his company (Legacy Reconstruction) did to be able to wrap up the largest possible amount of money, shamelessly stealing from me regardless of what the scope of work says. Legacy Reconstruction charged $1,599.39 for replacing 38 liner foot of fencing, but they only replaced a panel that measures 8 feet. Legacy Reconstruction charged 6,940.17 to re-grout the house tile but they did not remove or replace the grout they only clean the floor. Manny more not able to list.

November 2021 we experienced an electrical fire and entered into an agreement with Legacy (Ronny ******) and (Ed *****) to rebuild our home. The home was gutted and waiting for permits when we experienced a second fire in January 2022 due to vagrants. Fast forward to September 2022 and all that has been done is demo. We have pairs over $100k to this company and have nothing to show for it. They have ghosted us and we have not been able to speak with anyone in the office. The project manager, Brian ****** left the company, Ed ***** has left the company and we have no idea what is going on. We want our money back to find another builder. I am an Army Veteran and it is disgraceful and disgusting to treat me or anyone this way!

On Easter Sunday I lost my house & all contents to a fire. I hired Legacy Reconstruction to rebuild my house. I gave them $110,000 as the first draw. On September 2nd I was asked for the 2nd draw of $80,000, which I gave them. On September 2nd the Project Mgr. said that a number of things would happen the following week, a roof, windows and doors would be installed. This was not done. I asked for an update and 5 days later I get a call from a subcontractor who was working on my house called to let me know that everyone was fired and all equipment and trucks had to be turned in. I called the Project Manager and he confirmed that everyone was let go and many of the subs were not paid out of the original draw I gave Legacy. I tried calling the office, no answer, I tried calling the owner, Ronny Hixson, and no answer, I did try to leave a voicemail, I don't know if it went through. I have a house with no windows, no door, and the roof only has plywood. These items were to be completed with the first draw and were not. I am 74 and on Social Security, they fraudulently asked for and took the 2nd draw of $80,000 knowing that they were closing the office and would never finish my house. There is a law that makes this a criminal act against the elderly.
