In December of 2023, I contracted with this company to do clean up and restoration after a fire in my home. They were doing such a poor job that I ended up hiring another company to do the restoration work. They did do some clean up and packing of items to be sent offsite to be cleaned but most cleaning was done in my home and was not packed up. The problem came when they billed me. My insurance company and I challenged them over many items on their bills, as excessive or unnecessary charges were made which were also not supported by the official fire report I have. They even double billed some items and in the clean up process broke items and knocked holes in my ceiling which they promised to pay someone to fix and they never did. Eventually a third part independent appraiser was brought in and they, too, questioned many items. This matter remains unresolved due to Servpro’s lack of response for certain documentation to justify their charges. Without that documentation it is impossible to determine how they arrived at their charges. It could be possible that undocumented workers were used and they do not have the documentation. Each time we request things we get the standard reply that”the cleaning was done.” We have pictures to dispute that as well. Cleaning was done but the problem is WHAT THEY ARE CHARGING for that work. Additionally the persons responding to us seem to be employees of an entirely different Servpro which the State of Texas shows as having no LEGAL relationship to this Servpro. We have made a line by line cost assessment which we are willing to pay but which Servpro dismisses out of hand. Consequently we hope the BBB can help us resolve this without having to explore other legal violations. Also the address you show as contact information is not what is being used currently.
