We've had a pretty terrible experience with Appliance Genius. We had a broken ********* dishwasher and they came out 7 weeks ago and unfortunately we still have a broken dishwasher. They are slow to come out (no availability until the next week), expensive, and apparently incapable of fixing our dishwasher. They charged a $129 diagnosis fee to come out (is NOT applied to cost of fixing appliance if you choose to work with them). They diagnosed and ordered parts. (Btw, they do not call you as soon as the part arrives, but instead they only make calls on certain days of the week, or you have to keep calling back to check on status.) The shipping of parts takes 7-10 days. When the technician finally came back, the part that took so long to receive was defective. So they ordered the part again. Another 7-10 days. The next guy said it was fixed and left. However it was not fixed. When I called back about it, they said they'll come out, but if the issue is not related to what they just fixed, then it will be another $129 diagnosis fee. Why do I have to pay this again? We haven't used the dishwasher a single time in 7 weeks. I already paid to get it diagnosed, they should continue fixing it until the problem is resolved. I do not know what is wrong with my dishwasher. That is why I called the professionals. If they don't know what's wrong either and have to keep coming back to fix it, they should not charge multiple diagnosis fees for that. If they keep charging $129 every time, then they are incentivized to diagnosis incorrectly. I think this is unethical and a bad practice. I do not like working with this company at all and would not recommend them. I would look elsewhere.
