Beginning in late 2023 up to recently, Tom Peacock Nissan began exhibiting a pattern concerning complaints/reviews that contained the following.
Several consumer complaints and reviews allege, they applied online and were pre-approved for a loan with 0 down. Consumer stated the dealership guaranteed all they had to do was come in, pick out a car and sign. When they got to the dealership the deal was not honored and they were told they would need to make a down payment or have a co- signer. One consumer stated his credit was run 11 times which resulted in several hard hits on his credit.
Another consumer felt they were a victim of deceptive sales tactics. Even after securing financing through his credit union, they aggressively pushed their finance process where undisclosed fees inflated the price of the vehicle. Per the consumer, the dealership refused to accept outside financing.
Consumer purchased truck and had it for 9 days. Was told to bring truck back for an inspection and was then informed they can no longer have the truck. Another consumer’s complaint appears to be dehorsing. The consumer traded in their vehicle and signed the paperwork. Was contacted 2 weeks later to come in as the dealership had a better deal. The contract they were shown was back dated and signed by their cosigner when they were not present on that date. When consumer didn’t want to sign the new paperwork, the dealership told them to return the car or be charged with grand theft. He was later told to come back in for new temp tags and free tank of gas where they repossessed the vehicle, and he couldn’t get his trade in back.
Consumer alleged they spoke with 4 different employees. Signed a form that was later altered. Consumer had to go to the dealership multiple times and also called to get issues addresses. He was told he could speak to the General Manager and the Sales Manager but neither showed up. Consumer stated the original deal was not honored.
There are also complaints and reviews alleging regarding poor customer service, rude and unhelpful employees.
