These scammers wrote me a letter saying I owe money for a old driving violation back in 2013 when I know darn well it isn't on my credit at all. It went through the *** and had nothing to do with that.

These people are scammers. I received a text about a delinquent payment: “This phone number is associated with an unpaid Donley County Justice of the Peace account. Contact the law firm Perdue Brandon at “number” to resolve your account. Msg&Data Rates may apply. Reply HELP for help. Reply STOP to stop.” First of all, I have never lived in Texas. Second, I have never made a Justice of the Peace account: again, I have never lived anywhere in the entire state of Texas. I also have not worked in Texas, and I have not done business in Texas. I have never even gotten a ticket while driving through Texas. I live in Florida, have a Florida phone number, and have had the same number for 15 years. Also, I just got hit by two hurricanes - Helene and Milton - and I receive a text about false collections? I have never received a collections letter, just a weird text with no background information. This is clearly predatory and false.

These people are trying to come after me for a CLOSED court case. I have court documents proving it was closed. I spent all morning with the sheriff's office to obtain these documents.

They have been contacting my husband for a couple years ago with an "outstanding ticket" that was paid over 8 years ago now. I almost paid it once a couple years ago because there was a ticket we needed to pay. I am very glad I realized my mistake before I gave them any money. We have called the dmv in this county many times and they can't find anything about this debt being outstanding. Please be careful if you receive anything from this company, chances are the debt is fradulent!

On Sep 25, 2023 the sent a collections letter for a invalid debt. Per FTC 15 U.S.C. 1681 et seq. they were notified by certified mail on Oct 6 the debt was in dispute and to stop all collections until they provided documentation of the debt still being valid, that the debt had been assigned to them, and that the debt was within statute of limitations as any one of these is grounds to stop all collections but this debt was in violation of all three. On Oct 11th they sent further correspondence acknowledging they were in receipt of the dispute but providing nothing more then a suggestion I go look up a public record of a court proceeding I was well aware of. They did not provide any evidence the debt was still valid, that the debt had been properly signed over to them, or that the debt was within the statute of limitations. They proceeded to resume collections efforts in violation of fair debt collection laws and refused to provide the documentation required by law to resume collections. Due to these violations, I contacted an attorney as I had all records of the violation. After consultation with the attorney and the attorney conducting records searches, I was informed I would not be able to sue them as they were a crooked company hiding behind a fake address so there was no one to sue. Paying this company anything will likely result in any real debts still being outstanding, and further collections attempts by this company for any other debt they can suggest you owe. Keep your money in your wallet or pay your original debt holder if you do actually owe a debt.

I have received a letter from this company as well and I have been out of Fl since 2016 and as for this court fine and cost, they have been satisfied with in that same year for I was put on probation until payments were satisfied, and I did complete my probation period meaning, I satisfied payments with the court. Don’t you think that an arrest warrant would of been issued by probation officer for a BOP in contempt of court?
