On January 2nd, I brought my 2007 ******* Sonata in to fix an oil leak on the upper valve gasket. They replaced the upper valve gasket. They also recommended replacing the spark plugs and since they recommended it I agreed. Then there was a check engine light that came on while still at the shop, they said said it needed a new mass airflow sensor, as that was their recommendation, I agreed.I waited in the lobby for approximately three or four hours while they did the repair. At one point during the repair process they started my car at least 40 times and they gassed it heavily every single time. It was clear that the vehicle would not stay running after they started it up, after replacing the gasket and spark plugs. Staying running has never been a problem with my car before bringing it into the shop. Their explanation for this later on was that the throttlebody was dirty and they needed to clean it out and also that the computer needed to reset itself. Then they delivered the car to me and the check engine light was still on. They said drive at least 80 miles or more and see if the check engine light goes off.In the few days after leaving the shop with my car they let go of the mechanic that Had been working on my car that day. The check engine light didnt go off after 80+ miles, so I brought the vehicle back. The mass airflow sensor code is still on and an open electrical code is on. Neither of those were on when I brought the vehicle in on January 2nd. My car was in at the shop thru Wednesday and the shop was not able to determine what was wrong with the car, so they had me pick up the car since the vehicle is still drivable. I then took the car to the dealership and they confirmed it was just the mass air flow sensor that needed to be replaced. They replaced it and the car is fine now, but Express Oil owes me back for the **** I have spoken to ***** multiple times over the past without any resolution or any progress towards resolution. I have also reach out to the Express Oil corporate office 3 times in the past month, but they have not called or emailed me back a single time.
