    When I moved into the Villas, the unit was disgusting. I spent 3 hours cleaning the unit, I will attach pictures. I did not receive my mail key for weeks after moving in, which was a breach of contract. After I reported a leak in my bathroom, it was ignored for 3 days, and when they opened it up, the yellow insulation was covered in black mold and full of water. They fixed the leak and removed the insulation after I said I would not live with mold, they were going to leave it before I complained to the office. After consulting FEMA instructions regarding mold and water in insulation, I decided it would not be healthy for me to stay in the unit, since my allergies have been worse and worse since moving in. After a bit of back and forth the office said I could move out, without penalty, if I moved out by the end of the month, which I did. When I received my move out statement, they charged me for a full cleaning $95 (after they gave me a disgusting unit, see pictures) and charged me for a cabinet touch up $100. I have no clue what this is for, they were falling apart, which I noted on my move in sheet, I did not do any further damage to them. Last was the additional $37 for utilities, which I understand. After they kept my $100 deposit, they charged me $132 for move out. I would've let it go if they simply kept my deposit but the additional charges are uncalled for. Overall a horrible experience, that cost me a lot of money in moving fees, that I did not ask for reimbursement for. They said I could move without penalty, the email is attached, and now they are nickel and diming me.

    Business Response /* (1000, 5, 2022/06/29) */ Resident was unhappy from the start any issues they run into we make sure that they get taken care of. Regarding what was referred to as being mold was checked by our certified maintenance and confirmed it was indeed not mold. As former resident mentioned we did take care of the issue whether it be the key or AC unit leaking above her bathtub they were taken care of. But with that being said we do not want any unhappy residents so therefore, we decided it's best to let her go with out penalty. If we wanted every dime and penny as she mentions then we would have charged her the reletting fee to break the lease but we didn't. I have pictures attached of how she left the unit which can speak for themselves. Thank you.
