I've sent multiple emails to eXp Realty of *****' managing broker, ******************************, stating why I can't proceed with my current agent, *******************, in the home-buying process. However, it seems that all of my concerns are being ignored, discounted, and rendered ineffective. Being forced to work with agent ******************* or eXp Realty of ***** against my will feels unethical and like unjust treatment. We originally got to know ******************* through a family friend who is in the military. She provided my husband with some convincing information, which motivated me to start the house-buying process with her. After that, I was requested to sign a buyer-agent agreement.I was motivated to start the home-buying process with her after she provided my spouse with some convincing facts. We now have a complete understanding of the pressure tactics employed by agentslies, weak ethics, low morals, overpromising and underdeliveringbased on our few meetings. Since I don't trust her work and since the "Code of Ethics in ************ says that agents must "operate with the highest integrity and uphold high ethical standards," I've asked to have the buyer-agent representation agreement broken. Under Article 1, "Realtorships should commit to safeguarding and advancing the client's interests when representing a buyer.""I work in tandem with a team of brokers at eXp," the broker claimed, so how is eXp Realty protecting my rights? The agent and the broker will not terminate the buyer-agent representation agreement out of fear that they will lose the commission. Instead, they will compel me to work with an agent that has been recommended to me by my current agent in order to maintain the commission.The way this issue is being handled for me has left me feeling rather unhappy. My psychological well-being is suffering due to the treatment I am receiving from eXp and its agents, which is not what I had anticipated. Why being force to work with someone that you dont trust or the firm that treat you unethical? In addition, I'm on a month-to-month lease, which is incredibly uncomfortable, which simply makes things more tough financially for me. I believe I should have the option to stop using your service if I'm not happy. Right now, I feel like I have no other choice, and it's unfair to treat someone poorly. Because of my bad experiences with the eXp Realty representative, I am left with little choice but to ask that the buyer-agent representation be canceled so that I can go forward with the house-buying process.
