I opened a Michaels credit card at the encouragement of a cashier, but I never received the card or full account information. Despite not having access to the account, I was charged late fees and *********** avoid further issues, I made a minimum payment without even having my full account details. When the card finally arrived, I discovered that three months of interest charges had accrued. I contacted ************* customer service to explain the situation, but they refused to reverse the ********** my opinion, a good bank would have offered a courtesy adjustment, considering the delays appeared to be caused by their own processes. What was presented as a savings opportunity instead resulted in unexpected costs and frustration.I would caution others to think carefully before opening a Michaels credit card or any account managed by *************.Michaels Stores, Inc.

Cashier at the *******, ******* location was extremely rude. Skinny boy with long hair and nails. I walked up to the counter with zero acknowledgment. Told me the reason for the zero acknowledgment was because I didnt follow the line correctly and he was on his tech device in the middle of something. Actual first words out of his mouth was phone number?. Then I call corporate and the lady hangs up on me because I would not give her my name, phone number and email address. Pointless to probably even bring this up because it seems to be an issue all round. Unfortunate.Michaels Stores, Inc.

Bought two frames from Michaels asked me if I wanted a credit card I could get the frames cheaper I said yes. They took my drivers license. I live in ********, but I was shopping in ***************** at my winter home. They wrote all the information down from my drivers license and didnt ask me anything else getting my license back and said you have credit. They sent the bill to my house in ******** and I have all my mail forwarded down to ******* in the winter time it mightve taken 10 days for it to get from ******** to ******* as soon as I got it, I paid it. Problem is it was late and now Im being charged 35% which turned out to be $42. I never saw this late charge and I got charged another late charge. Then they ruined my credit which was at 787 and now is down to 700. Called customer service they couldnt help me. They told me to call their bank which I did. They couldnt help me. I just said you know what F it Ill just pay the bill. Its a late charge. Big deal department at the bank said h*** give me $15 off. Now Im fighting to get my credit back and I will never ever step in Michaels ever again.Michaels Stores, Inc.

Bought what were advertised 512gb flash drives from Michaels Internet that turned out to be 128gb, no where NEAR what was advertised, got nothing but apologies and excuses from their "service" department - finally after endless emails and phone calls, I just ATE their fraud and incompetent mistake, and will do all similar business from ****** and ****. As easily seen in their related complaints in this review section, their "Service" is a bigger time wasting joke than their advertising! Buyers BEWARE!Michaels Stores, Inc.

1 starWe are sad, disappointed and hurt from the treatment we received at our local Michael's store, from counter help and from the store manager. We waited in line to request a piece of glass and paid for it, then were told we would receive the glass after the attendant helped 2 others. The other patrons needed to order matting and match color, and a frame for artwork they brought in and attendant was advising, measuring and assisting them while we waited. Not understanding why, we asked and were told we had to wait. Then we asked a manager who told us that's the way it is. Another worker came from the back, took our order sheet, walked back to the room and came out in less than two minutes with a piece of glass wrapped and taped. Unfortunately, all employees were rude and disrespectful. We were patrons, we could have been spoken to politely, maybe reassured of their intent, SOMETHING better than the treatment we received. CUSTOMER SERVICE AND KINDNESS MATTER, ESPECIALLY IN TODAY'S WORLD. Craft supplies can be purchased without hurting and shunning people. Is online the best option or wouldn't we like person to person contact? We all are going through something, all have stress but should ALWAYS treat others the way we would want to be treated. Michaels used to be fantastic. Lately? No. Its so odd that when I check out online, Im pushed 3 separate ads ************* orange theory, and another) that I must click though just for buying items from Michaels. When I have an issue with their experience, the wait is never shorter than 30 minutes to talk with a rep. ****** I presume they do because they know Ill cancel the request and they dont have to deal with their customers.) Was sold a damaged goods item, and the store manager and ****** were very rude to me. They did not want to assist me, told me that the goods were sold as is because it was a Christmas ornament box. When I purchased the item for $18.00, I did not see the damage box due to it being Cama phage with the wrapping. When I called to speak to the store manager, I waited for over 20 minutes for him to come out. When he did, he heard what I had to say and walked away, as if I was some kind of animal. Michaels should not be selling damaged goods, and they should not be giving bad customer service. I purchased the Ornament box on Jan. 9, 2025, the manager indicated that no returns as of November. If this is the case, then the store is very deceiving and should post signs indicating this return policy so that customers purchasing items can verify that the goods are not damaged. Poor customer service, I have been a customer for over 30 years, and never have I experience such treatment. I will never step a foot at a Michaels Stores and will pass this bad experience to everyone I know.Michaels Stores, Inc.

I purchased an item online that is sold and shipped by Michaels. Their return policy says you can return items sold and shipped by Michaels in store. When I tried to do this I was told that they didnt sell that in store so they couldnt accept it. I tried another location and they insisted it was a third party seller and that I would have to send it back to them. I showed them it says sold and shipped by Michaels. Per the return policy they are supposed to look up online purchases by the confirmation number or with your ID. If you paid with ****** you should receive a cash refund no higher than $500. Since they wouldnt help me I called Michaels customer care line. The person on the phone again tried to argue with me that it was from a third party seller. I gave them the item number from the website and after they looked it up they said I was right and I could return it to Michaels. I asked about returning it in store and they said they emailed me a return label and I could drop it off at a Michaels. I said thats not what Im referring to and they stated that is how you do an online return. I gave up and printed the label and took it to a *** store. They said it would take ***** days to process my return. Per the tracking information they accepted the package on 12/27/2024. I didnt receive an email confirming the acceptance of the package or that my refund was being processed. I called today, 1/17/2025, to check the status of my return. I sat on hold for 30 minutes before talking to a representative. They checked my return information and confirmed my return was received on 12/27, but that no one had processed my refund. They processed my refund and said it should take 3-5 business days. If I hadnt called, I never would have gotten my money back. Not only do they not train their sales associates on their own return policy; you also have to ensure your refund is processed otherwise theyll just keep your money.Michaels Stores, Inc.

I ordered after christmas sales items. They ran late which was to be expected, however, when they arrived, all but the "Shatter proof ornaments" were broken. I have pictures not only of the broken items, but also of how they were packed, they look like they were thrown in over sized boxes with one square of bubble wrap and then tossed from a 10 story building to make it on to the delivery truck. I then emailed Michaels with my order number and pictures, two business days ago. I received an automatic reply and nothing further. I have copies of these as well. When I try to log in and chat with a representative from the website, there is a 50+ minute wait.....I am writing this on corporate's site since there is no other POC to get this resolved.
