They lost my mothers picture from high school and have not given me an alternative option. I havent heard anything from anyone since the week I went into the store.Review from Barbara L

May 30th 2023. I needed to return a product to Michael's. The date of purchase I called Michaels #**** to have two Brother label maker refills at the front desk. They were the wrong cartridges. Upon return, I was informed by *********(Esme), store manager, they were on clearance and could not be returned. She did offer to give me in store credit. I asked her where the tape runner refill cartridges were and It turned out to be the wrong aisle I went back to the register for help. Esme looked and found the label maker refills. The boxes opened like a deck of cards. No one would have noted that it was opened and I would know for sure if I had the right product. I began to pick up a box and **** said if I opened it I had to buy it. I asked her what refill I needed as I had my Brother label maker with me. She picked it out and handed it to me. I opened up the box and it was the wrong cartridge. I put it back in the box which no one would have known was ever opened!! I picked up another box and opened it up while Esme eagle-eyed me. I opened 2 boxes they were the wrong cartridges. I put them back and no one would have ever known they were opened. I no longer wanted to put up with her hostile attitude I told her I would never be returning back. She stated "that's okay we have plenty of customers" as i walked out of the store. That day I phoned Michaels spoke with **** he gave me the case#****** store #****. Informed me I would receive a call back. June 2nd I Phoned Michaels again ***** stated someone would call me back. June 5th spoke with ***** . June 16th **** transferred me to ***** his supervisor. Stated **** the district manager would call me within 24 to 48 hours. No response back from Michaels. June 20th I spoke with ******** stated she would have it transferred to a higher department they would call me. June 20th **** informed me **** would return my call. I also spoke with ****** he sent an email to **** to return my call in 24 to 48 hours. I gave up until now.Review from Heather F

This store has horrible management and human resource practices. They seem to take advantage of the minors that work for this store. Its extremely sad that because these workers are young and not as knowledgeable about their labor rights that the management team here uses that in their favor. The human resource department does even seem to care because they do not respond to inquiries. Horrible management practices and not a great place to work if you are under 18.Review from Tammy P

Do not sign up for their rewards if you do not shop there often because you will get unwanted emails and they will not stop. They lie that they remove your email and then start sending emails 1 time a week instead of every quarter or 1 time a year..........It's as if they are angry and start harassing you with their emails to get back at you for requesting them to stop! Since I have asked for over 3 years now and finally last week someone from the cs **** said they removed my email, I can see that was a lie. I mean I even changed my email to a less used email account and I still get bombarded in my old email! and they never closed the account as I requested last week. the cs rep was so sure she "helped" me. Placed custom frame in *************, **. in mid-Dec. 2023. Receipt estimated completion date--1/4/24. On corporate website: If you choose to bring your art to a Michael's store, order will be completed w/in 14 days of receiving the art.The following delays and confusion were totally unprofessional!Contacted store on 1/7, told order still not completed--reasons: busy ********** was severly understaffed. I was told orders are sent out & when received, comes in fully assembled. Was so disappointed in hearing wait might be 1-2 more weeks, I live close & visited store a week later. Was told picture was in, & would be ready in 2 hourswould get call when ready. FYI--was told all work once frame is in is done in-store! Not what I was originally told. When I called to make sure picture was ready, I was told many different storieswere waiting for the frame, we cant find your picture"--total confusion being bounced around from one associate to another. Was promised a follow up call later in the afternoon, it never happened! Next day, I returned to store to check on status--after waiting a while, picture was located, Told it would be ready in 2 hours. Returned again to store to pick up order--it was in wrong frame & thin gold liner was missing too! Disgusted & exhausted with gross incompetence!While I appreciate options given--redo picture & wait 2+ more weeks or accept partial refund. I chose the partial refund.Once home, also noticed on one corner, the 2 wood pieces were hastily glued together, not a seemless precise fit! I will NOT be returning for any ffuture framing needsnor would I recommend. In the past, using Michael's, never had issues--art was delivered when promised, phone calls were returned, & finished product looked very professional. On Oct. 25 2023, I bought an item from Michael's store in ********** ********. I purchased online and went to the store to pick up. The item did not meet my expectations so I asked for a refund. The transaction was handled at the register and I was provided a receipt for the return. However, a month later I had not received the refund. I called customer service and ****** apologized and said she would put the refund in immediately and I would get the refund in 2 to 3 days. One month later and still no refund. I call back in December and speak to **** who puts a ticket in on my incident and tells me some one will call me during the week. Now it is January ****, no call back and no refund. I call back and ask for a manager. I speak with ****** who claims the money was refunded in November. I have kept in contact with my bank throughout this ordeal and I have not received any refund from Micheal's. They took the money out the same day I ordered but it's been 3 months and I have not received my refund. I believe Michael's drags their feet on issuing refunds in hope's that people will forget about it or give up on trying to get their money back. Michael's has the worst customer service and I will warn people that if you have a return, good luck getting your money back. I will never shop at Michael's store again. I wanted to give Michael's no stars but it wouldn't send so I entered 1 star but they don't deserve that.Review from Lawrence E

horrible service. Online order for pick up was designated to the wrong store which is hundreds of miles from me. Their phone number is disconnected. Local store phone does not work. Get disconnected as soon as it tries to ring. Have complained about this twice to their customer service, and no luck. I will never again shop Michael's.Would not even give it one star if that was an option. Folks, be wary.Review from Melinda B

I ordered (10) containers with lids. I've ordered the same containers without issues previously. This time they were shipped without lids. I tried chat, no resolution, tried calling and still no resolution. Trying to return them is impossible. They're useless without lids. But their customer service doesn't care. My nearest ********************** is over an hour away. I was told it will take a minimum of 2 weeks for a replacement order to be sent, AFTER they receive this order back. But in order to return it, it's my responsibility to drive it to a *** center that is 40 miles away roundtrip.Review from VD D

I wish that there was an option for a 1/2 star rating as Michaels does not deserve even ONE star for the sheer lack of customer service/fulfillment of promises to communicate order status in a timely manner/rudeness of "management" (Kianna - *******, ** location)!!!1:30PM PST, order submitted for SAME DAY DELIVERY of PAID order! 7PM PST, STILL awaiting delivery and attempted to contact Michaels via online/telephone/chat. Finally called ******* store, passed around to ****** (in HER words, the manager who just "happened" to be on duty) who I basically had to give a step-by-step action plan for cancelling the order and returning my money since they FAILED to deliver my items as promised during the ordering process (they were PAID $7.99 SAME DAY DELIVERY FEE)!WHATEVER happened to people who are supposed to be "managers" having SOME level of common sense when dealing with a dissatisfied customer, especially when the issue is/was caused by THEM???!!!!Next step...contacting my attorney and credit card provider to determine possible legal remedy for the ***** OF GOODS/SERVICE!
