      On August 31,2021 I received a letter from Ambit Energy stating I had applied for service with them I have not applied for service with this company . The letter states that due to my credit rating a deposit was required. This is very disturbing since I did not authorize for my credit to be checked I proceeded to call the number to complain but they did little to reassure me and said it might be a scam. I further asked why the had my address and the phone number I called was from Ambit, they again responded to disregard.

Ambit Energy has completed its research and investigation into complaint #XXXXXXXX and has documented its findings and actions taken with respect to this complaint. Ambit Energy does not have record of an active account under the customer's name for the service address listed on her complaint. Unfortunately, without additional details pertaining to the letter she received from Ambit Energy nor her complaint we are not able to further review Ms. *******'s concerns. I have attempted to contact Ms. ******* on several occasions to further discuss this matter and assist her with her concerns referenced above. Please note, there has not been a response and a voicemail message was left asking her to please contact me directly for further assistance. Ms. ******* is strongly encouraged to contact me directly at my direct number left in the voicemail message to further address her concerns. Sincerely, Ambit Energy

      I was enrolled in a third party agreement with Ambit Energy without my knowledge or consent, I called them, told them I didn't AUTHORIZE this. I hope that I have resolved this situation. This company shouldn't be enrolling people without their consent. Businesses like these should be fined heavily for fraud.

      Business Response /* (1000, 5, 2021/09/08) */ Dear BBB Staff, This letter is in response to Ms. ****** *****'s concern with Ambit Energy as referenced above. Ambit Energy has completed its research and investigation into complaint #XXXXXXXX and has documented its findings and actions taken with respect to this complaint. A review of the account shows that on 08/19/21, Ambit Energy received an online enrollment for the service address referenced above for Ms. ****** *****. On 08/24/21, contract documents were mailed to the customer which contained our Terms of Service and Right to Rescind information. Upon receipt of this complaint, a cancellation request was immediately submitted to Ms. *****'s utility, and her utility provided a service end date of 09/23/21. Records also show that on 08/30/21, Ms. ****** ***** contacted Ambit Energy regarding the account enrollment. Please note, the call was disconnected before further assistance could be provided. In summary, an enrollment of service was completed due to an online enrollment request received. Nevertheless, in response to Ms. *****'s complaint, a full refund will be issued upon receipt of final usage. The full refund amount will be sent to Ms. ***** via standard mail. Sincerely, Ambit Energy
