On May 26, 2024 I received a letter from Home field energy. Notifying me that after June 14, 2024, that my utility provider will change from ****** to Home Field unless I Opt-Out I called Homefield on May 29, 2024 to opt out of the program. I spoke with the girl by the name of ******* and she issued an RA number 20240-5290756. She claimed that I had already opted out, in August 2023 but look further into it and said a new contract was developed. That started on December 24, 2023 she said, and I quote you have been opt out. From past experience when it comes to issues like this I dont just settle with that answer. I actually called back a couple of days after to find out if my request was actually processed correctly. Apparently it was not, because I called again and spoke with ********* on May 30, 2024. She looked under my account and there were no notes that I even spoke with Rolonda or that an RA number was issued. After speaking with *********, she recorded our phone conversation where she-documented that I wanted to Opt-Out of the program. She said she was unable to issue a confirmation number, but said that the recording is confirmation enough. I disagree. In a few days, I will be calling again. If I find out that the information wasnt processed, my next step will be contacting the state ************************ and filing a formal complaint.Final note, I find a very interesting that theyre targeting people that live in apartment complexes and not homeowners.
