We are sad to hear that your recent Pogo experience has failed to meet your expectations. I do see that your energy use has increased recently. I have confirmed that the daily usage reads that Pogo has do align with those reads that are in SmartMeterTexas.com; which is the independent source for the meter reads in your home. I encourage you to log into SmartMeterTexas.com and monitor your meter reads. This awesome tool will allow you to match up the meter reads to your billing. You will be able to see your usage in 15 minute increments!! You will need something called an ESI (the number unique to your service address): ********************** and your Meter number: ******** in order to sign up. Your energy rate may have changed recently.Along with the price of many goods and services, the price of electricity has increased as well. We have done our best to keep your rates the same. We are equally frustrated about the change in rate. Rest assured that when costs decrease, we will pass these savings along to you. Pogo Energy serves thousands of customers in *****, and we pride ourselves on honoring our commitment to 100% satisfaction. Were changing the way Texans get their electricity, and that starts by doing right by our customers.Review fromDee M

TERRIBLE company! The customer service is contracted to overseas and you are not able to speak with anyone that can assist. There is no possible way to get a resolution from customer service. They dont investigate, review or research anything on accounts. Simply accept payments and provide payment address. NOTHING outside of that. I hqd an error on my account made by THEM and have been unable to resolve it with anyone. Ive simply been hung up on and given the runaroundPogo Energy

I hate to hear that you have been less than satisfied with your recent Pogo experience. I see that you have reached out to us regarding the credit card block that was placed on your account. Its is ****'s policy to add a credit card block to the account once a charge back has been received, this is done to protect both Pogo and the card holder. Since the disputed recharge(s) were applied to your account, future recharges must be made through a cash store. Our customer service agents you spoke with on 02/05/2024 explained the situation to you and they also escalated your concern to a supervisor for review. I also reviewed your account in detail and agree that the credit card block was not added in error. **** received a charge back from your financial institution on 06/23/2023 and refunded the full amount. This was verified on 06/27/2023 and you were notified of the results via SMS. I also see that you received a pledge on the account and that you have not had to make any payments until recently. First attempt to charge up since the credit card block was placed on the account was 02/05/2024. If you still require further details please reach out to us directly and we will be more than happy to discuss any additional questions you might have. I have been with POGO for a few years and in the beginning it was very good. And when I lived in a house didnt use that much energy. Now that Im in an apartment 20 a day and the account is negative and risk for disconnect. I love the service but would like to go back to not being negative so quicklyPogo Energy

We have reviewed your account and have verified that Oncor has sent us actual usage on your meter. We also noticed that you moved into your new apartment in December and that weather could very possibly be a contributing factor. Your meter reads are typically higher during hot/cold weather because climate control takes A LOT of energy. Great news, since you get your meter reads daily from Pogo, you can make adjustments in your home until your energy use is where you want it to be. You can also create an account with SmartMeterTexas.com and monitor your meter reads. This awesome tool will allow you to match up the meter reads to your billing. You will be able to see your usage in 15 minute increments, which allows you to see when you are using the most electricity and make changes if applicable. You will need something called an ESI (the number unique to your service address) and your Meter number in order to sign up. We are sad to hear that your Pogo experience has been less than satisfactory. We have reviewed your account and wanted to take the time to go over our findings with you. We see that you started service with Pogo on 02/23/2023, from your start date to current your account has been disconnected for non-payment 5 times. We dont want to disconnect your power any more that you want us to, so we send you messages and/or emails when your balance is getting low, when your balance is at or below $0.00 and lastly we send an alert two hours before your service is scheduled for disconnect. This way, you will still have a couple of hours to recharge your account. A positive account balance of only $0.01 is all that Pogo requires to avoid risk of disconnect. We also see that you have a *** (Deferred Payment Plan). When you set up a *** with us you agree to have a switch hold placed on your account until the *** is paid in full. You can pay off your *** at any time and the switch hold removal request is sent immediately. When you set up your *** it takes 20% of each payment and applies it towards your *** balance. To pay off your *** in full all you need to do is update your *** payback ratio to 100%, this can be done anytime by calling ************ option 4 (***). After option 4, select option 2 from the sub menu. The percentage must be entered as a whole number (no decimals) and must be between 20%-100%. I have had lights with them for almost 2 years and they still have my DPP at $39.99 which with them is only about 2 days in electric.Pogo Energy
Date: 07/26/2023
A DPP is a part of the Pogo Promise: our no fee, no interest, no credit check plan that we establish for you when your account balance goes negative, or is about to go negative. To qualify for a DPP extension, there are 2 conditions Pogo considers for all of our customers: 1. your DPP balance must be $39.99 or less AND 2. a $10 recharge must have been made since the last DPP extension. Both of these factors must be true in order to qualify for a DPP extension.Review fromNathon C

I would give this rip off of a company 0 stars if I could. They are price gouging everyone and everyone knows it! I went from $3 a day to over $20 a day. The only difference is one small window unit in one room is now being ran due to the summer heat. One day they charged me $13 for 75kw hours, 2 days later charged $23 for 51kw hours. How is this not a price *****? You can't ever get anyone to answer the phone or the chat service. On top of that they never claim it's there fault. They blame you or the company reading the meters. Something needs to be done about this company. They are preying on poor families! In what universe should anyone's bill be $23 a day or more from running one small window unit in one really small room? I literally have proof of the price ***** saved to my phone.Pogo Energy

I've been a loyal prepaid customer of ********************** since Sept 1, 2021. I received a text message Thursday June 15,2023, saying my prepaid account balance was at $18.93. Friday June 16,2023 the text stated my prepaid account balance had reached $5.39. So I go on and added $70.00 to my account. I receive a text message confining my payment of $70 towards my prepaid account, but as I read the text it states my ACCT BAL: -$227.35. Where did the $227.35 come from but also the $70 that I had just added into my account? At this point my account should have been I have $75.39??? I pay as I go so every week I add money into my account but the numbers are way off and something is going on. During the months of **** to **** that is 13 months my charges for energy was $3904.00, however, during this time with confirmed text messages and bank statements I show that I have paid $4,022.00.If you do the math from $4,022 that I paid subtracting the charges of $3,904 that left me with a overpaid balance of $118. But add the $70 I just paid my account should have $188 that i have overpaid. I'm very dissatisfied and ready to change electric company after they fix my account and give me what I have left on my account!! I advise everyone to leave pogo if they can, to not encounter the fraud that is taking place at the moment!! I am not complaining about how much I pay monthly, but I am complaining about the current unexplained charges that have suddenly been added to my account when my overpay was $188 from 6-16-2023 to 6-17-2023!!! I have bank statements, text messages, and emails to validate all of this information.Pogo Energy

We hate to hear that your recent Pogo experience has been less than satisfactory. We have reviewed your account and as of today your account balance is positive $27.39. For billing on 06/17 $302.74 was billed in error, there was billing issue in our system that we identified and corrected but unfortunately we didn't discover it until after daily balance messaging went out. I have added a $10.00 customer courtesy credit to your account for the inconvenience, your updated account balance after the credit is positive $37.39. We have taken the opportunity to review your account in hopes to address your concerns. We show that you paid off your DPP balance in full on 04/04/2023 and that Pogo sent the switch hold removal request to Oncor on that date. Please note that all Pogo customers are offered the same rate and Pogo works hard to keep those rates as low as possible. Ive been a customer for a few years. Prices spike during high use seasons, but I am very careful with my electricity and if anything I use less during peak times but still have heavy kWh charges for no reason. Also yesterday I received a random balance notice that I was negative 435 dollars on my PREPAID account. Impossible. I reached out to an agent but it never went through because the automated message stated too many customers were reaching out. Ive contemplated switching.Pogo Energy

Please feel free to reach out to me via email, as I have saved texts from Pogo, and screenshots. The one I received came from the same automated text number in which I also received the texted stated above in your comment. It was very confusing. I did try and contact Pogo through chat, text, online etc. without reaching anyone.Review fromRefund M

1 starI've had Pogo for almost 3 years with no problems It didn't get horrific until I moved into the smallest apartment I've ever had with there service. My first month in the new apartment my bill was over $500 never in the 3 years of being with them has my bill ever been over $200 at the most and that's rare. I don't know who took over the company or what shady practices are happening behind closed doors but innocent hardworking people are paying for it. Also the emoji text message responses are childish and unprofessional.
