Our family member was given NO SHOWER OR BATH, NO CLEAN GOWN or even as much as a TOOTHBRUSH offered for 5 days. I was straight up told to have the my family member, who was the patient, p*** in an adult diaper and they'd "clean it up in a bit". Dignity is not to be found here! The Floor Nurse Manager stood within 4 feet watching and hearing this conversation and no direction came from her regarding the request. We even had a Doctor visit the room and state the patient could have gone home the day prior but no one was available to complete discharge paperwork on a Sunday. That was on Monday and because they waited so late in the day, the patient was made to stay in the hospital until Tuesday.

************************************** ** is a joke. Rude and uncaring staff. They make it pretty clear that if you don't have insurance, you are not worth anything. My son in law hasn't been able to eat or drink for a week. Its not a virus! Its more like an Ulcer. He knows he has to see a specialist but he was hoping the ** would help with something to help him eat since he is starving. All he got was the triage nurses to be smart ***** with my daughter who is pregnant, a nurse that did not care at all. Not even when my son ln law was having a reaction to the IV. He was sweating, red from the face and very anxious and the nurse didn't do ANYTHING to make sure he was ok. She looked at me like I was an idot because I was fanning his face since he was sweating so bad. Then she was trying to get his ** machine started and it would not even work. She left it alone and walked out and didn't come back in anymore. Another nurse came in and got it started but that other nurse didn't do a thing. The ** Dr. did nothing for him either other than labs, and nausea meds he didn't need since he was not nauseous. Then she asked him why he kept going to the **. Well, Dr. the ** is to help people in urgent situations. I would think that him not eating or drinking for a whole week is urgent. He lost 12 lbs in a week. He is starving and so if that's not an emergency then I don't no what is. Ppl is in the community already don't trust this hospital. Its sad that we don't have a hospital that really cares about us. They just care about our money. He doesn't have insurance so they feel they don't need to help him? His life is important just like everyone else. We are all equal! The last thing ppl need during a difficult, scary time is to go to an ** where you think they will help you and you get rudeness and no compassion. Word of mouth is everything and I want everyone to know that our hospital in *************** is not safe for any of us. Something has to be done! (Walked out of hospital)

I went to Good Shepherds North Park ** on Labor Day. The nurses literally rolled their eyes at me because I said that I had been having neck chest and neck pressure for 2 months but it had gotten worse. I had a cardiologist appointment and was trying to stay out of the ** for this very reason. The doctor was argumentative and asked me I dont understand why you felt like you needed to come H**E, today. After, I said the pain is worse. The ** nurse, told me she was too busy to know what was happening with me. I thought being busy was part of the job description of working in the **! I thought taking care of people was also, part of that job description too! If you fill out the application and get the job, be prepared to do the job! If its working in the **, you are going to be busy, you are going to be taking care of people that have had problems that have gotten worse and they are scared! Dont treat them like they shouldnt come in! I actually had to read my discharge instructions, because no one went over them with me. These jokers, actually had the audacity to give me instructions that said if I got worse to come back!!!!! Why? So, I can be asked why are you here again, so I can have people who dont want to take care of me roll their eyes at me again???After all of the horrible treatment! Some guy in scrubs came in and said Hey partner, you ready to get out of here? Follow up with your pcp. Those were my discharge instructions. I never saw the doctor for any kind of explanation of the findings. She came in but was called away for a phone call, said she was coming back, but never did. The guy (I guess nurse, he never told me who or what he was) then proceeded to take my IV out without gloves on. He didnt even bother to wash his hands before doing it! And I didnt see him was his hands after! In fact, I never saw anyone wash their hands or use hand sanitizer. This place needs to be shut down by JCAHO or ***********

I have 100% VA disability and preferred to Christus health in Shreveport, LA for cancer appointment on Jan 25, 2023. The Overton Brooks VA do not have oncologist on site so they prefer me to Christus Health on Highland Ave. The VA taking care of my bill payment but the Christus Health in Tyler, TX kept calling me almost every single day about overdue payment. I've contacted the VA and they said they already taken care of the bill for $254.00 and I 've called back Christus Health billing service, after 10 mins I call back after I talk to the VA. Somehow the Christus Health said their system is down but 10 mins earlier the system is not. I think they are very stingy and want to double dip even though the VA already taken care of my bill. I think it is very irritate and bother when they call me at work. If they are wise enough, they should contact the Overton Brooks VA shreveport LA main line telephone and connect to the finance or billing office. instead of calling me and for things already paid off by the VA hospital.

Beware of double biIling! I went in for my yearly check up and was double billed for a Doctors visit and a Check up on the same day, here in Santa Fe, **. My insurance will obviously only pay for one of these, and I cannot have a check up without a visit to the doctor. I've tried the ***** billing department, tried to contact doctor personally and tried the Santa Fe billing department. Today I was told by the Billing department that my doctor refuses to take away the second charge. My husband had the appointment after me for the exact same thing, a check up, and was only charged once, which insurance covered. So, for some unknown reason I am being double billed without recourse. I do not know what else to do besides write to BBB to warn other patients of this practice.

Hello,Thank you for bringing your complaint to our attention. We strive to provide excellent service and we appreciate you making us aware of your experience as it will help us improve our services. You were scheduled for an annual visit, but during your visit, you presented a problem-based concern of worsening back pain and the physician addressed that (referral to PT, etc.). Annual preventative visits do not include any problem-based care. The billing of the preventative visit and the regular E/M are supported by national coding guidelines. A corrected claim to better outline the diagnosis codes in relation to the E/M and preventative visit was submitted but BCBS upheld their initial denial. Our inquiry was furthered and asked for the claim to be reconsidered as you had benefits for office visits per a benefit check with BCBS.Unfortunately, the denial still stands. BCBS has indicated that your specific benefit plan does not cover a preventative visit and medical diagnosis exam on the same day. The balance was appropriately billed to you as your benefit package does not cover this scenario. Since the claim is appropriately coded and billed and is supported by physician documentation, we are unable to make any changes on our side. The reason you had to pay out of pocket has to do with your specific benefit plan so this should be discussed with your insurance company. Please accept our sincerest apology for any trouble or inconvenience this has caused. Thank you.

I paid cash at the time of service for a scan. The person that checked me in stated that was all I owed. I have since received bills from them stating I owed an additional amount. I immediately called the billing **** and explained. I was told that it was a mistake and would be taken care of. Two months later I received an email stating it was my final notice and If I didn't pay, I would be turned over to a collection agency. I called again. Again I was told it would be taken care of. This is the second time this has happened with Christus - the first being several years ago. We will see if this truly does get resolved or if I have to take it to a higher authority.

The financial/billing department of Longview, TX was rude. I asked for the phone number of the collection agency that my account has been referred to and the lady giving me that was silent for about 40 seconds, just dead air and then hung up. I think I was on mute. Anyway, I realize that they have to deal with a lot of frustrated patients but please be a bit more courteous to people. We have other hospitals in town and I hope that people realize that they have a choice as to the best location for their medical care. Thanks for reading

This is my first step to file a complaint about how one family's experience for a very joyful occasion went during a *************** the most filthiest "Family Waiting Room" I can ever imagine for a hospital at Christus Mother Frances in *****, **. When I got off the elevator and reached the waiting room I immediately noticed that something was just wrong, the chairs and tables were dirty with crumbs or stains, the floor was sticky in spots and there were crumbs and pieces of trash on floor all through waiting room. They have at least 5 trash cans in waiting room and one in each bathroom that were all completely full and overflowing, literally trash on the floor! We just thought that they would clean in the morning but it never happened. Eventually we called and talked to a hospital operator and they just said to tell Nurse. Out of the 7 hand cleaning dispensers I tried only one actually had hand cleaner in it, none of the TVs worked. It was truly a horrible atmosphere to be in, I have never felt so disgusting in a hospital. The lighting was so bright all the metal trim around just seemed to ****** your skull and cause you to have a headache. We talked to another family that had been there for a while before us and they said they felt like they were in some "free clinic in the middle of nowhere" I have to agree! It was just an all around horrible experience for families that are waiting on something beautiful to happen.
