I bought my car from Exeter while I was coaching in ******** in 2023. I had to move back to ***** after the passing of my father in the beginning of 2024. I let Exeter know this and that I would not be making the same amount of income as a result. My account fell behind during the year of ************************************** even putting any of this information in the notes of my account, they continuously harass me about repossessing my car and ask the same questions every time about why my account got behind. Poor customer service multiple times with people that dont let you talk, cut you off, and have poor attitudes when they do talk on the phone with you. I wish I could be with another company and never bought this car from them

I have a car loan with Exeter Finance. I found out that Exeter Finance has been engaged in misappropriation of funds, fraud, predatory lending, and extortion. There is currently quite a few class action lawsuits active for the same exact malfeasances Ive been experiencing with Exeter Finance. In a few U.S. States the ***************************** is also involved. Im also filing a fraud case with the *********************************** and Ive contacted the ******************************* to get involved. I have proof of evidence that clearly shows misappropriation of funds that were supposed to go towards my car payments. Monies Ive paid that have already cleared and this goes back to 2022 when I first started my loan process with Exeter Finance. I was beginning to think everyone at Exeter Finance was just ignorant but when I found out they were taking quite a few of my payments without applying it to my remaining balance it surely showed true fraud at its best. The customer service is absolutely horrible and they make so many errors to the point of messing up my contract. I took snap shot photos for one month straight and I now have the proof of evidence to hand over to the ****************** to include a class action attorney whom Im now working close with. Exeter Finance apparently has been engaged in all these malfeasances with other victims to where the victims are now being paid out in the millions for emotional distress. In my opinion, stay away from this place. Im working it out now to try and refinance with another bank entirely. I truly believe Exeter Finance needs to be indicted as a whole and be shut down completely. I truly believe with my evidence in hand to include other victims.that the higher *** to include the CEO needs to do jail time. Im a 100% Disabled Veteran receiving a 100% Pension from the Veterans Affairs and with what I am experiencing.Exeter Finance treats Americas Veterans unprofessionally.

I got scammed into cosigning loan for my brother who failed to make his car payments. In talking to ****** from Exeter finance I was assured that if I paid off the car the title would be put in my name only. I sent Exeter the money only to be told the title is coming to me in my brother's name. They lied to me specifically ****** lied to me to get my money which I could not afford but I paid anyway. Now they are s******* me over as far as the title goes. Exeter is a scam business. From what I have been reading they scam people out of lots of money. How in the world can a company get away with that in this day and age

Do not get a loan with this company they do not have a pay out plan for your vehicle after making payments on time for 5yrs with a balance of $3000.00 and needing to make necessary car repairs in this economy would help with reducing my pay off amount but no was the answer, no kind of compromise.

I FIND OUT THAT THAT THIS COMPANY IS A SIMPLY INTEREST CONTRACT COMPANY MEANING THAT THEY CHARGE YOU INTEREST DAILY ,NOW IF YOU SEND EXTRA PAYMENT,FIRST THEY DONT ALLOW YOU SEND IN AN EXTRA PAYMENT YOU HAVE TO MAIL IT IN AND WHEN YOU DO THAT AND PUT THAT YOU WANT IT TO GO TO PRINICPAL ,THEY STILL TAKE MONEY OUT OF THAT AND PUT TOWARDS INTEREST EVEN WHEN YOU TELL THEM ACTUALLY YOU PUT ON THE CHECK ,OR MONEY ORDER THAT YOU WANT IT TO GO TO PRINICIPAL ..SO I ADVISED WHEN YOU PURCHASE SOMETHING MAKE SURE ITS NOT THIS COMPANY THEY ARE RIPPING PEOPLE OFF AND IT MAKES YOU TAKE LONGER TO PAY OFF WHATEVER YOU PURCHASE .THIS STAR IS A 000000,IM LOOKING TO REFIANCE AND GET OUT OF THIS RIP OFF COMPANY

I paid over $51k for a 2018 ********** Outlander and completed all 72 payments as agreed. The maturity date was November 2024. However, in September 2024, I received a letter stating that I owed over $12k due to accrued daily interest. When I requested documentation regarding this charge, I was informed that I needed to refer to my contract.I have spoken with several representatives: one informed me that I could only pay the total outstanding amount, while others stated that a settlement offer would be forthcoming. As of today, I was informed that Exeter Finance does not offer settlement options, and the vehicle is now in the repossession phase.I was provided with the contact information for PAR and I once again inquired about the possibility of paying half of the outstanding balance. I was told that the only concession they could offer was a 10% reduction before and after repossession, with no guarantee of this adjustment being applied.I am deeply disheartened by the manner in which Exeter Finance has handled this situation. The company takes substantial amounts from individuals and, when financial difficulties arise, takes possession of the vehicle without offering reasonable settlement options, contrary to their promise to work with customers. This experience has been truly discouraging, and I would strongly advise others to avoid working with Exeter Finance if possible. If you are a military family, I strongly urge you to avoid Exeter Finance. They have shown little regard for the struggles faced by families in such situations, and their actions have caused unnecessary distress.
