I had a car loan through Reprise Financial. After a couple months I was able to get a loan through a different company with a lower interest rate. My loan through reprise was fully satisfied by that loan. Reprise still sits on my credit report as active looking like I have 2 car loans to other lenders. So my credit is suffering. I contacted them via email and was never responded to.Business Response

I took out a loan with Reprise Financial, and after paying the balance off early via check to their parent company SPRINGLIGHT who the check was made out to by my home refinance. The bills stopped coming. I tried to login to get my last statement showing the account was paid off and it told me my account was closed and no other options. Since March of 2024, I have repeatedly tried to get the closing statement from them or a letter stating the account is closed and paid off but I have never got one. I called to request the letter, and am repeatedly told it will be sent in 24 hours. I am in the process of getting another loan, however since this is still showing up as a balance on 2 of the 3 credit bureaus I can't proceed. I repeatedly asked for a supervisor, put on hold then told that the supervisor put in the request, I then request a supervisor, am told I will be on hold for 10 minutes, and after an hour from that point in the call no one answers. I was a good customer, paid my balance and am now stuck since they show I have an open balancing I am paying on, however I am not, it is paid off, and they have not updated the credit records for over 12 months.Business Response

For 2 months in a row money has been deducted from my bank account AFTER I stopped auto pay. When I called to see why they are still taking money despite me putting a stop to recurring payments. The representative, *******, told me they would not stop the auto pay, which is illegal. When I asked to speak to a supervisor I was told "he's busy but he's gonna tell you the same thing", then i was placed on hold for a very long time and ******* came back and said ok we will stop it. I don't trust this company and am forced to change bank accounts because they will not stop the autopay.Business Response

I filled out a quote for a loan with this company. I provided my income information and was given quotes with several offers. I filled out an application, again providing income information that was the same, and was met with offers. I completed the application, submitted my documents that they requested that was the same as my stated income. Then I receive a call where they look at all of the information that I submitted while on the phone only to be told that there are no offers now and my income is too ******************** that I applied with. The same income I have had the entire time. The company is doing shady practices. I would like the credit inquiry pulled off my credit report since they were not honest in the application process. I would not have applied had I known that my income would be an issue, which was not the case given that I was offered loans with the income.Business Response

I was told rates were fixed when you search their **** says rates are fixed. DO NOT EVER get a loan with Reprise. Nothing is consistent and when you call customer service for answers no one that works there has actual accounting based knowledge. Its a money making gimmick that will have you feeling stuck and without clarity please DO NOT get involved with this shady company. You will never get the answers you seek and they will keep you trapped as long as possible not to mention your car is not collateral but will hit your bank account as auto financing! DO NOT USE THEM!!!! Also its written in Contract that you can not use a lawyer or they will sue you for suing them for being shady as they want mediation even though there is NOT A SINGLE PERSON AVAILABLE TO MEDIATE WITH!!! Also their reporting arent accurate after cross referencing past bills tracking interest and their statements. They make up what they want and DO NOT PROVIDE STATEMENTS. Please never choose them I hope everyone sees this before committing in desperate times there are WAY better companies like Upgrade for instance. Total transparency with upgrade, save yourselves of the corrupt business with Reprise. Even if they say they want to resolve they dont and will not contact you to help you just harass you asking who your lawyer is.Business Response

Deceptive from the be when I was told I would get a lower intest ate if I put my car title up for collateral. I have auto pay set up so I wouldnt miss a payment. Before my first payment is even due I get an alert from Credit Karma telling me my loan amount increased looks like I missed a payment. Said my loan increased by almost $300. I call *** tells me it was a mistake but it would be straightened out by Monday and to check back. By this time my payment was taken out of my bank acct. and I received a second alert from credit karma warning me not to get too much behind. I call reprise again. **************** tried telling me that my payment wasnt for my interest and that my interest is separate and is at the rate of over $7 a day and that Im behind on the daily interest. This makes zero sense to me. I asked for her to explain to me then why reprise would give give me a payment amount that doesnt cover the loan amount and the interest? According to her there is additional interest on top of the 32% interest rate that they are charging me which is already 22% more than I was told to begin with. So by her calculations my debt would just continue to grow and never be paid off. Out of my $306 payment ZERO went to the principal $306 to the interest and I owed 23 interest for that month PLUS my loan amount increased by over $100. Complete scam. So now they hold the title to my car and have lied to me and intentionally deceived me and are making ***orts to credit karma that are falseBusiness Response

In the end though there was nothing offered or even an acknowledgement that they have begun looking into my complaint. It is very disappointing once again to be dismissed while my debt apparently grows in reprises eyes. I'm trying to understand where this has gone so terribly wrong. I am so upset that I have put my only vehicle in their hands and they show no urgency to rectify or even explain why this may be happening. They shrugged me off for another 30 days while they continue to get the monthly payment and my debt gets larger

I was solicited by ************ to apply for a loan I did so I think that at all the paperwork was submitted and I was told over the phone I was being sent a document to sign and they would approve and send $6500 amount of the loan Im waiting on The Filipino Pig a.m. for the email to come and I did not. I told him I was in the hospital on hospital Wi-Fi maybe if there were security features on the email it was not letting go through. He said he would cancel that email and send a new one we can probably send a new one in right at that time I had received the previous one however it was no longer active. I waited quite some time for the second one to come in and never dead. The following day I tried to follow up with them because it was past customer service hours none of my phone calls will go through they would work with your process and then I would hear a voice recording say eight and then the line will go down. I tried this several times from different phones until I put in my phone number is the account number it would just end the car I tried to look up my account online and it said oops theres been an error and to call customer service and I continue to have the same problem with it just disconnecting my car I do not know what happened and Ive been going back-and-forth with this company for quite some time and its proving to be a considerable waste of time and effort, and I dont understand why they took it this far only two ghost me at the end. took two payment of $767.00 . One was taken out my account without my permission . Contacted them today 12/20/24 *** stated they saw it and reverse the payment .
