They have been harassing me and accusing me for a loan over 900$ when I don't have a loan with them and never used them. I have contacted them in the past and they never got back to me about someone else using my name and information. I would like the harassment to stop and them to fix the issue because I have sent them police report several times when they asked me to and yet it seems that they have lost it or keep removing my responses to them.Business response

I took out a payday loan with ace cash express. Realized i couldnt pay it all back in time and called then for an extension. They ageed and put me on a payment plan. I was supposed to have until august 3rd to make my first payment. Instead they charged me early for the full amount and overdrafted my account then sent my account to debt collections. Compeletly disregarding our agreement.Business response

Business Response /* (1000, 5, 2021/08/10) */ Dear Mr. ******: Populus Financial Group, Inc. d/b/a ACE Cash Express ("ACE") received a copy of the email you sent to the Better Business Bureau. After investigating your complaint, ACE found that you originated an online loan on July 8, 2021 for $204.12, including fees. You sent an email to Customer Service on July 18, 2021 requesting an extension of one week. On July 19, 2021, you were sent an email requesting that you call Customer Service. On July 20, 2021, you called Customer Service and were offered a payment plan. After reviewing your July 20, 2021 call with Customer Service, ACE found the agent advised you to log into your online ACE profile, sign the electronic payment plan documents and call back to confirm the payment plan was set up. You repeated the necessary steps to set up the payment plan, however, you did not sign the electronic documents. Pursuant to your loan agreement, ACE attempted to ACH your account for the balance on July 21, 2021. Your July 21, 2021 payment returned, and on July 23, 2021, your loan was forwarded to our internal collections department with a balance of $219.12, including a $15.00 NSF fee. You may call ACE's collections department at X-XXX-XXX-XXXX to make payment or payment arrangements that work for you. With no arrangements on your account, collection efforts may continue.
