      One star is still too much for the horrible customer service. I've been trying for over a year to cancel my service. It's always a error message when you try to click on a link to contact someone. Their isn't and known telephone number to speak to someone. Impact Telecom is clearly a scam

      My folks called Impact telecom in the beginning of May (ticket # ********) because their service had not been working since sometime in April and Impact promised to fix the problem.They had no service in the month of May (they still did not have service on May 22nd when we checked). After no fixes and being without service for more than two weeks, my Dad ported their number to a new provider, and also called Impact and canceled their service but was billed for the entire month after that. (Additionally, the customer service person told him that they did not know how to look up the ticket number for their initial call about not having service.)My Mom called Impact a second time on May 22nd to find out why they had been billed, and impact claimed that my Mom and Dad had separate accounts (not true) and they only canceled one account and not the other and also needed a new unit that they had shipped out to my folks sent back before they could cancel. Of course, this unit was not mentioned during my Dads call to Impact to cancel their service. (Between these two calls to cancel, Impact sent them a new unit that was of no use to my folks since they had already canceled their service.) Impact promised to credit my folks $6 out of their $20.67 monthly bill for the inconvenience and confirmed the cancellation of their service. (A credit that has not yet materialized.) My folks sent back their Impact unit on May 23rd and the tracking says that it was delivered on May 25th. It is July 8th, and Impact telecom is sending them emails saying that they will be charged in the next 5-7 days. The phone number listed in the email for customer service concerns is no longer in service. The charges are supposedly for Carrier Cost Recovery Fee and ************************** for an account that has already been canceled (two months ago). So no credit as promised, and additional billing on top of that.Do not trust this company and their shady billing practices!

      Startec erased my credit that I had paid for using my hard-earned money because I had not used it for a while. I asked for a refund but they declined. It was not a credit deactivation like Skype does. It was a permanent erasure. Scam!!!
