I refinanced my home on December 14, 2019 and First American Title was the title insurance and settlement service provider for my transaction. In September of 2021 I applied to refinance my mortgage again. During title research portion of the refinance, it was determined that First American Title never recorded the deed of trust for my 2019 refinance with my county recorder. I searched at my county recorder's office and I was unable to find a deed of trust that should have been recorded for the 2019 refinance. I sent an e-mail to *************************** on September 8, 2021, asking them to send me a copy of the deed of trust. I also tried calling their phone number ************ on September 9, 2021 and the call was hung up on multiple times before they eventually answered. When I finally got though I spoke with Jaime, who e-mailed me during the 2019 process. She said that she did not handle my process in 2019, but someone would contact me in 48 hrs. I am still waiting.
