Purchased the *** ****** ****** from **** and when I got it the computer turned on but the screen remained black. Informed them about the problem returned the computer but they never responded after I sent the computer back. Time placed Jul 16, 2021 at 10:49 PM Order number XX-XXXXX-XXXXX Total US $320.99 (1 item) Sold by discountcomputerdepot

      Business response

      10/28/2021

Business Response /* (1000, 7, 2021/10/21) */ Item has been shipped out with FedEx tracking number XXXXXXXXXXXX Consumer Response /* (3000, 9, 2021/10/21) */ (The consumer indicated he/she DID NOT accept the response from the business.) I don't need the computer any longer I already have my replacement computer. I do not desire to continue doing business with a company that abusively and manipulatively practices inappropriate business stategies. They had the opportunity to make the right decision and they lost the sale with their dishonest business stategies, I want my money refunded to me immediately. Business Response /* (4000, 11, 2021/10/22) */ We do not abusively and manipulatively practices inappropriate business strategies. This situation was an oversight that we have worked to rectify. Once you receive the product, since it has been already been shipped to you due to you not stating you just wanted a refund, we will send you a return label to send the product back to us. Once we receive our product back, a full refund will be issued. Consumer Response /* (2000, 13, 2021/10/27) */ (The consumer indicated he/she ACCEPTED the response from the business.) I would like to withdraw my comment that this company abusively and manipulatively practices inappropriate business strategies. It has been frustrating buying a computer that didn't work and receiving no response when trying to exchange it. I did state that my "Desired Resolution" was a refund so I didn't repeat that statement in my comments. I have received the computer and waiting for the return label. I do ask that you follow through with my refund once the computer is returned. Nothing was done when I made my previous return and my attempts to call and email customer service where unanswered. Thank you for your time.

I purchased a desktop computer from Discount Computer Depot on August 2, 2020 for $399.95. They had committed to provide **** ******* Computer Core ** but I noticed what they sent me was **** Desk Computer Core ** when I downloaded a *** game on the computer last month (September 2021) and tried to play it. The game kept loading and I never could play it. I called them but they asserted that it is out of warranty period which is a year and I should have called them within one year. I explained that I checked Core version last month for the first time and I purchase this computer because I expected to play a computer game smoothly but they said they would not be able to provide any replacement as this is out of warranty period. I checked the warranty terms but it is more about repair, not CPU itself (please see the attached JPGs). PO# is XX-XXXXX-XXXXX.

Consumer Response /* (2000, 8, 2021/10/19) */ (The consumer indicated he/she ACCEPTED the response from the business.) They sent me a graphics card instead of Core *** The graphics card enables my computer to run a *** game smoothly as I expected. I am satisfied with their response. Thank you.

I bought a laptop from this company via **** on May 2019. I returned the item due to defects and sent it back using the provided shipping label. The item was received and I was told on June 16th that my refund has been processed. Fast forward to now, September, and I have not received at refund. **** will not step in and DCD has stopped responding. I have attached all of the messages. I gave various methods that DCD could use to refund me and at this point they are just giving me the run around. They have their computer back, I want my money back.

Business Response /* (1000, 6, 2021/09/08) */ Hello, could you provide me with your order number so I can look into this matter and get it rectified for you please? Consumer Response /* (3000, 8, 2021/09/09) */ (The consumer indicated he/she DID NOT accept the response from the business.) The order number is XX-XXXXX-XXXXX The date the order was place was may 6, 2021 Business Response /* (4000, 10, 2021/09/09) */ After reviewing the customers account, it appears that she had opened an **** claim and sent a return label for the product. The device was sent back to us a month after the claim was made and **** had closed the case due to customer not updating the claim and taking a month to send product back to us. We cannot issue a refund due to **** not allowing the refund to be processed. At this point all we can do is issue a replacement system. Consumer Response /* (4200, 12, 2021/09/09) */ (The consumer indicated he/she DID NOT accept the response from the business.) No, I sent the laptop back using the label provided. In the time period that I should have, **** is not stopping you from giving me a refund. And in fact, had you been honest from the start, I could have involved **** earlier as I was told that a refund was being issued. It wasn't until I was given the runaround that I reached out to ***** Which by that time, it was too late. There is nothing that is holding you back from issuing a refund. Not **** nor the date that I had sent back the product. I was told that an refund was issued and it was not. Please keep this promise. I have since had to purchase another computer elsewhere and don't need another. Plus, why would I want another device when the first one was so faulty? Business Response /* (4000, 15, 2021/09/10) */ We are sending the customer a paper check for the refund requested. Consumer Response /* (4200, 17, 2021/09/16) */ (The consumer indicated he/she DID NOT accept the response from the business.) Ok. Before I recieved this message I contacted **** again who then said they would issue a manual refund. I have not recieved that refund yet. So if the money (Via ***** goes back to my account before I recieve your check I will dispose of the check when I get it. If I do not recieve the manual refund from ***** I will cash the check. Thank you. Business Response /* (4000, 19, 2021/09/17) */ Thank you for the response, we will keep an eye out as well.
