      Date of Incident: October 8, 2024 Location: Clear Creek ER, Village Medical Billing Discrepancy Amount: $3,600, later $1,730 I am filing this complaint due to a billing dispute with Clear Creek ER, owned by Village Medical, after an ER visit on October 8, 2024. Despite my $6,000 deductible being met, I received a bill for $3,600. I contacted Village Medical, explained the error, and sent them my ***** Explanation of Benefits (EOB) showing my balance was zero. Initially, they confirmed I owed nothing. However, later emails contradicted this, claiming I owed $1,730. They then claimed they received a new EOB from ***** saying I still had a balance—within the same day, which seemed unlikely. Concerned about the conflicting information, I contacted ***** directly on November 6, and they verified my deductible was met, confirming I had no balance with Village Medical. ***** also stated they had not issued any new EOB. Despite this, Village Medical continued to alternate between telling me I owed a balance and I didn’t, creating ongoing confusion and distress. I believe Village Medical’s billing process is flawed and potentially deceptive. The repeated contradictions make it unclear if this is due to disorganization or an attempt to collect unwarranted payments. Resolution Sought: I request the BBB’s assistance in obtaining a clear, final statement confirming my balance is zero and an investigation into Village Medical's billing practices to prevent similar issues for other patients.
