Took my car to be repaired was given a list of everything that was wrong with vehicle. Ended up paying for repairs and within an hour the check enginge light came back on ended up taking my car back three consecutive times after the stated they resolved the issue. The last time I took it back they gave me another list of issues they stated they had found that was completely different than the first list. The business then stated that I had to now pay an additional 2400 on top of the 3400 that I already paid.

I had Mayo Autoworks replace my engine, replace the suspension, and paint my car, while they had their "special" for $3500. After 2 months, which I had no problem with the time as long as the engine ran as expected and the paint job is what you expect for that price. In the end and after three calls my car was complete and I had to leave it because the of the paint shop: the headlight shook freely, orange peel on the entire care (it will never shine unless I pay again to have *************** corrected), the factory ground effect was hanging down on two sides and later fell again on my way home (after I had to ask twice for them to put them back on after painting), signal lights (had to ask them to put them on, Vent covers (had to ask them to put them back on), the factory back wing bolts are cross threaded, hose marks in the paint where **, the painter, dragged the hose across the paint and didn't make the correction. As for the engine work, the car runs very rough and shakes/vibrates violently, the engine light is on. On the bright side the suspension seems to be ok, but it doesn't matter if the car runs like a tractor. In all, I spent just under $12,000 cash with them not including the parts I supplied. I finally picked up the car, in the same condition as stated above, but filthy (new paint job, picked up filthy) because it is evident that they cant get it right. Very disappointing that I have to take my car to pay another shop to make these corrections.

I called ********* repairs # 1 in ******* on 9/21/22 and got a quote for my transmission cooler for 589$. I brought my car there the next day on the 9/22/22 at 07:45 in the morning. I Received a call that the price went up to 900$ because the Condenser also needs to be replaced as well. I called **** Auto repairs # 2 and asked for the price including the Condenser and was quoted 589$ as well not more. I called Mayo Auto repairs # 1 back and ask why I was quoted more, and they had told me Mayo Auto repairs #2 probably didn't understand what you need the price is 900$.I believe the price went up because Jeep was charging me 1800$ in the diagnostic that I gave **** a copy of and they tried to make more money. I picked up my vehicle and was charged 849$. The Mechanic waited for me to pay and then told me that he didn't finish the job! which was sneaky and wrong! I was tricked into paying and was then told the job was not finished! I would have not paid if I had known the job was not finished! Once I paid, I was informed that the transmission cooler was changed but no transmission fluid was put in because Mayo did not have the pump or tools to do so. This was part of the repair and was not done, it caused my car to overhead and turn off. I had to take my car back to Jeep and pay 749 $ for Transmission fluid and a Transmission flush because there was no Transmission fluid in it. Jeep spoke to ********************* said we didn't have the right tools. I asked the Manager for a refund or form them to pay Jeep the 749$ due to lack of service and I had to pay twice for their error, they refused to give me a refund and to have the Owner call me. Mayo should have never started a repair on my vehicle if they did not have the equipment . I should had received a call and be notified instead of being charged for a half job that caused my car to overhead. I want a full refund or the 849$ and I want others to be warned about the way Mayo does business and repairs

    Business Response

When the customer initially called for an estimate, I quoted based off the information I was given.  I am not a technician.  When the vehicle arrived, the technician immediately saw the discrepancy in the part that I quoted and called her to explain the situation.  She said she understood and approved the required repair with the new quote that was given to her.  The technician completed the repairs.  He did not TOP OFF the trans fluid (it was less than a quart low) due to it needing a transfer pump that we do not possess.  The technician also noted on the repair order that he found the fluid very dark in color.  When the customer came to pick up the vehicle, the technician spent 20 minutes with her showing her the parts and explaining to her in detail the differences in what I quoted and he quoted.  He also told her she needed a transmission service due to the dark color, which is a maintenance related issue and did not have anything to do with the repairs we performed.  The technician suggested that she go to a Jeep dealership to have a transmission service done as soon as possible to prevent any transmission issues in the future.  The owner stands behind the technician's repair of the customers vehicle and will not be providing any refunds at this time.  However, we would like to apologize to the customer for any inconvenience or misunderstandings related to this matter.

I am rejecting this response because:

    Regards,

    *********************

The repair part is not true the technician failed to mention that the did not had the pump to top of the transmission fluid he exchanged the broken part that is correct but the did not finish the job. The technician did one part and not the other that goes hand in hand with the repair. Also the technician did not explain to me that he did not finish the job before hand he made sure I swiped my car for payment end then told me that he did not finish the job! The front desk Lady even admitted and said the technician should had called me to let me know that he does not have the proper pump to top off the transmission fluid! There for the service was not completed and done half ways. I want a full refund! Mayo Auto repairs ripped me off which caused me to go to the jeep dealer and pay extra for the service that was noted on the diagnostic and goes hand in hand with the trans cooler exchange. If a Repair shop does not have the tools to complete a service they need to call the customer to let the customer know or reject the repairs! I have no problem filling a small claims complaint through the courts because this is fraud!
