In March 2022 we hired EvanRod Construction to do remodel work inside our home. We paid 1/2 up front and the other half would be due upon completion. They started off pretty good and finished roof repair, pantry install and repair to interior. They still owed us a custom built coffee bar and door to our theater room. They asked if we would be willing to pay another $3000, which we did. Thats when things went downhill. The work on the coffee bar was unacceptable and redone 3 times with lots of delays in between. They would promise things and then never show up. In August 2022, we finally called a meeting to discuss our concerns. *************************** and two of his partners came to our house. We told them we wanted them to rip out the work they had done on coffee bar and restore the space. They said they didnt blame us and knew that they had not come close to delivering. We discussed a refund at that time. They asked if we would email them the numbers and asked for one more chance on the door as they had the door and were ready to install. Against our better judgement we agreed. One month later it was the same story, delays, lies and an unfinished door. We told them forget the door and refund us our money. They have stopped responding to our texts and emails.

Beware of **** he is not a good person or worker. He solely is there to get money and not do any work. As a contractor he would not get in touch with us or update on any progress because most of the time nothing was getting done. We have had numerous problems from day one with their company Evanrod construction. We needed remodeling done on our home and we cannot even live in it because they didnt do anything other then take time and money away from us. We have been out of our home for 5 months and they still could not get the work done which they said they would complete in a 3-4 month turnaround. I have nothing but complaints on him and their workers because we wanted to have a good home building experience but this has all been a nightmare due to lack of incompetency. They are definitely scammers and need to be held accountable.

Mr and ******************** We are sorry that you have found it necessary to slander myself and the company. When you all approached us that you had purchased the home and that we were ready to begin demo and that you had no issues with us starting because the house was empty and that ***************** would be vacating the home soon. Anytime there is projects like this we all know there will be challenges and delays. We have had much progress made up to this date with , challenges such as the existing home needing to have added support to the roof which is a change order. Change orders that come up are always 100 % due right away before any work to begin, so these type of delays are to get owner approval and to absorb costs, Being the reputable company we are and the cost of lumber and other hard materials that have gone up we decided to divide the $3000 cost into (4) draws so that you all didnt have to come up with that right away, ***************** was letting ** all know on a daily basis the importance of getting this done because the home you all are living in was costing you all to pay rent and mortgage for the new purchase of this vacant home that we were hired to renovate. Up to date the labor and material have been completed for the change order and we have only been paid $750.00 of the change order. Year to date we have added a 792 sq ft addition , with piers and beam poured, inspected and passed , to include the excavation for piers, rebar, and lumber for the studs underneath supports, and concrete, Exterior walls have been framed out, interior bedrooms, bathrooms , soffits, fascia, framing for windows, framing and headers for doors, hallways, roof trusses, joists, and underlayment to dry in the addition. Electrical throughout addition and existing has been done, added a new panel, and added a temp post for the home as well Existing home has had **** sq ft of drywall, several walls removed, re framed bathroom, relocated wall for the kitchen, plumbing removed, doors added, new windows replaced, old siding removed (522 sq ft removed and installed) including new ****** soffits, fascia, old wiring removed, old flooring removed, and new trusses installed due to structure not being up to code and all supports replaced including (2) LVL beams being installed and (2) supports being added from ground to joists supports in roof. We have framed out doors, removed concrete steps, hauled off various loads of trash, and always showed respect and courtesy to ***************** sr who remained in the home during all the construction. In the last 2 months we advised that is was not safe for ***************** to be staying there with all the construction debris and insulation dust, he finally left the home so that we could demo his room and continue work, we also protected the trees prior to starting to comply with the arborist board and set up mulch and a barrier, we did recently complete 165 sq ft of (3) decks from top to bottom with up to code compliance pier and beam for all 3 and fully wrapped in ****** board, Year to date with permits, plumbing fees, electrician fees, materials , supervisor fees, dump fees, and labor costs, our firm has performed $117,970.00 and year to date have been paid $86,027.75 I was recently slandered and treated like a criminal and told that if myself or *********************** would step foot on the property we would be charged with trespassing charges, which was a huge blow to my heart, i have 4 kids and a wife and have been in business for well over 7 years and always do right by our clients and our community. We will proceed to pursue a lien on the home for monies owed and all forms have been forwarded over to our attorney, as one of the co founders of EvanRod Construction and CEO this slander is not who i am and we stand by the following #1 our faith is our foundation, #2 build on relationships, # 3 give back and serve our community # 4 give back and serve our family # 5 build a culture thank you and again my sincere apologies to the family , our interest was always to keep progress moving forward and have up to date information I have included my contact number for any further questions *************************** CEO EvanRod Construction ************
