Specifically, BBB requested the business provide clarification regarding the comparison between the current price and the former price. BBB requested that the business clarify if the items were sold at the price before the reduction and to provide BBB with a history of the pricing. Furthermore, BBB requested if the reduced price advertised has become the regular price modify their website to no longer advertise the savings claim.
BBB also expressed concerns that the limitations/conditions of the “30 day satisfaction guarantee” may not be clear and conspicuous enough to direct consumers’ attention on individual product pages. BBB requested the business’ assistance to modify the website to ensure the limitations and conditions are clear to consumers by qualifying the “satisfaction guarantee” claim with applicable conditions and limitations. Lastly, BBB requested the business substantiate that the testimonials advertised on their website are typical results that a consumer would experience or disclose the expected experience.
