    Business did work April, 2024. At the time I was told by the business that a permit from the City of ******* was not required. After work was done, the City of ******* will not approve work done, as permit was not pulled as required. Without the permit, the City of ******* will not give me a housing rehabilitation rebate that I am eligible for.

    I bought this home about 2 years ago with a warranty for foundation repair. I paid $100 to transfer the guarantee. I called the company to inspect cracks that had been showing up. This was at the end of 2022. ******* came out, made measurements and said that it was OK in the garage area but said to call back in February. I called back in July, and ***** was set to come August 8. He was a no show. I called and said he'd come out then but needed the address. In the middle of me giving the address, the call ended. He did not come and did not return my call. I have since called daily and left my number but no one has responded.

    I have reviewed the business response and accept this resolution. ***** did contact me and came to the house. He spent time taking measurements, comparing them to previous measurements and assuring me that the foundation has been affected by the extremely hot weather. He said the cracks are seasonal and is not affecting the integrity of the foundation.

    I am requesting that the BBB reopen the initial case #******** from August 2023. Dylan did come out and assured me the structure was sound but when issues continued, I obtained a structural engineer's report that stated, in fact, the 3 existing piers on the garage side need to be reinforced. This part of the repair is A1 Foundation Repair's obligation. I also need a new pier which they may bid on as well as drainage needs mentioned in the report.

    I have filed a complaint against this company in the past but thought it had been resolved after Dylan came out for the 2nd time and assured me that the foundation was good. I decided to call in a structural engineer to evaluate because cracks were getting worse and the engineer said measurements were actually better than 10 years ago when they had come out after the initial repair. The exception was at the garage area that needed reinforcement of 3 piers. I also need a new pier. I sent Dylan the report. I called him when I didn't hear anything for a week. He said to give him an hour and he would send a bid and get me scheduled. I never got the bid and he said he'd send again but that he's extremely busy, and I won't be scheduled any time soon. Still no bid. The warranty that guaranteed my foundation for life is worthless if they keep giving you the runaround and make empty promises.

    I have made many attempts to reach A-1 Guaranteed Foundation Repairs. Phone calls have not been returned nor an email I sent responded to. I am extremely unhappy that my transferable lifetime warranty is not being honored. I am also concerned that I cannot sell my home in its present condition because of the foundation issues that need repairing.
