On January 8, 2023, my wife ****** and I hired ****** and his company, Eternity Lawn and Landscaping, to level an area of our background to accommodate for a pool, grill, and hangout area. I laid out the exact dimensions of the area I wanted to have leveled out and said I simply wanted a level area and was okay with him using whatever means necessary. His crew came out and began the work immediately, which I saw as very quick and timely and I appreciated it. However, he did not inform his crew what the dimensions or the location of the build were supposed to be. So instead of building it out into the dimensions as requested, they made it into a square that was significantly further back than I would have liked. Nevertheless, I was willing to brush it off so long as we were able to fit our amenities. We paid him in full expecting the job to have been fully completed. However, after going into the area and measuring out where we wanted to start setting things up, I discovered that the area they had built out with 4x4s and filled with rock was not leveled at all. The crew simply built out the area with their materials and took no effort to level it. I would have been satisfied if they came out in a timely manner to fix the mistake. However, as of writing this complaint, it has been a total of 41 days since I initially brought my concerns up to Manoah and in that time, no one has come out to correct the error and a majority of my phone calls and texts have been unanswered. A phone call between him and my mother-in-law was incredibly unprofessional and uncooperative on his part and displayed an unwillingness to finish the job we have paid him for. We asked for either a refund or for him to finish the job within the next couple of days and the attitude he displayed was incredibly disrespectful. My wife and I are seeking a full job completion and a refund of the money we paid him due to the inability to fulfill the contractual obligation within the promised timeframe.Business response

Thank you for bringing this to our attention.
This job was completed as discussed from the beginning and extra material was brought out to the job site and used free of charge during our return trip to try and address the customer's concerns. The Owner came out and the customer approved the completed job in person, at which time payment for the completed job was remitted. Nearly a month later, they voiced their concerns and claimed the surface was not level.
Materials and labor for this job was a total of $2,400 and was billed out at $2,700.
This job was completed to the best of our ability and we did everything we could to leave the customer fully satisfied.

I am rejecting this response because:The company did not make a viable enough effort to respond to our complaints. After talking personally with the owner of the company, they agreed the job was incomplete and needed to be modified. On top of the unsatisfactory leveling of the yard, the 4x4 planks of wood that were holding the pit together were secured incredibly and have already begun to split less than 3 months after job completion. I have had to manually repair them in order to keep it secure. While this is an issue I could accept after a year, I cannot accept it after such a short span of time. Additionally, I have discovered property damage the job crew had created. Attached is a picture of what I have discovered is wiring to my sprinkler system. This damage has left my system permanently disabled and I cannot utilize it until the circuit is repaired. This quality of work is unacceptable and the behavior of the owner when requesting agreed upon repairs is inexcusable.

September 9, 2021, I had landscape work done at my home address. I was told that part of the side fence needed to be removed so that materials could be placed in the back yard. On September 30, I got a note on my brush recycle bin saying the truck couldnt pick up the contents because the bin had dirt and trash in it. When I looked, most of it was from the landscape job which was done 3 weeks prior. I called the supervisor at Eternity to explain and he said he would have his guys pick up the debris. 26 November I received a notice from my H.O.A. stating that my fence needed repairs, since part of it it had been seen laying on the ground. When I came back to investigate, it was the same side the landscapers had taken apart on September 9. When I looked closer, the fence had not been taken apart; it was BROKEN at the bottom. Either way, it had not been properly secured. I called Eternitys supervisor again and he promised everything would be fixed the following week. As of today, the dirt is still in the bin and the fence is still broken. I had propped the fence up so the *** inspector wouldnt bother me until it was fixed, but when I looked outside today, it was on the ground again. Once again I propped it up to avoid conflict with H.O.A. Eternity Lawn came by yesterday, blew some leaves around and left. Nothing else was done.Business response

I am rejecting this response because:Second, as I stated before, Minoah lied! He has never contacted me since I spoke to him on November 29th of ***************************************************************************************************************************************************************** there. The stuff had been there over a month already and WM told me it would be too heavy for the truck to pick up. I understand you all not getting a response from me but I do not know why all of your notifications just popped up today. However, I have checked my call log twice and there is absolutely nothing on my cell phone from Eternity. I have called waste management again and re-explained the situation to them, so I am waiting to hear from them as to whether or not they will take a chance on picking up the debris. Meanwhile, if Eternity can get over here between now and THIS THURSDAY to pick the stuff up and get it off of my property like Minoah promised back in NOVEMBER 2021, that would be great.
My apologies for being loud on my voice messages. I'm just frustrated and tired of people lying and trying to take advantage of me.
