    Hey everyone- Same issue as everyone- was redirected from a website trying to get help from an LLC- thought this was a legitimate site as it was called "tax id support" and had same colors as IRS. Its hard for me to get scammed- but boy-this company is good. Paid $250.00 that was debited from my account on 06/27/2024- but received NOTHING in return. No LLC, no EIN, no Mail, no email, no tax documents. Nothing. I never even got an "order number" or transaction ID" right after my payment- so i have no way of tracking this order down. Thank God my BANK has the website documented. I finally realized when i was filing my taxes- i never got this item. I wrote their message center- no response. Looking at all the complaints and this place is scummy. I sent about 11 requests demanding a call. More than likely, if i do not get my full refund. I am filing a lawsuit. If anyone is reading this, i highly suggest you do the same. I dont have time to wait around and have my money and time wasted. I see the owner is blaming others for their lack of service and following up-- lets just cut to the ***** and demand our money back and ensure this place gets their site taken down.

    On 10/08/2024 I applied for an EIN online for a new business I was setting up. I was brought from the **** website to taxidsupport.com. I was surprised to find the cost of filing to be $250, so went so far as to exit my web browser, go back to the *** website, and click their link to online file. I was still redirected to taxidsupport.com and therefore thought it was a required avenue to file for my EIN. Recently, my husband applied for an EIN for his forestry business, and the same link got him to the free form that I had been scammed out of seeing. I emailed the company explaining that I had somehow been redirected to their site and felt that I was therefore misled about their services (namely thinking it was a required avenue to apply for an EIN), and requested a refund of my $295. I haven't heard back from them and am now seeking a resolution through BBB.

    I am rejecting this response because: Though I cannot prove with documentation that I was redirected from the government site to taxidsupport, I did not click their sponsored ad on ******. I have read through other complaints on BBB about this company, and am not the only one that was redirected from the *** website when trying to create an EIN. Since the service is free via the government website, it seems implausible that the company "cannot" offer a refund on an active EIN, but is choosing not to with claims that I clicked their ad, which I did not.

    You are incorrect. There is no way to be redirected from the *** website. The *** would not allow that. Our link was an advertisement for a paid service to assist with the application process for a new EIN number. Per our cancellation/refund policy, once the service has been provided, we do not issue a refund.

    I am requesting an immediate refund of the $295 charged to me on my credit card on 11/29/24 by TAXIDSUPPORT.COM (**), an online company, for the *** application of a LLC. This is a free service provided directly by the *** and I was misled by their website, which presented itself as an official *** resource. The site lacked clear disclaimers indicating that they are not affiliated with the ***, which misled me, and came to find out later, several others, as documented by numerous complaints on the Better Business Bureau website and across several Internet forums. I never recruited this company for this service and neither did they do anything for the *** filing, only deceptively created a payment portal for payment after the application was completed on their online site, which deceptively mimicked an IRS process. Also, the collection of sensitive information, including my Social Security Number, without properly identifying their company or clarifying their lack of affiliation with the ***, is highly concerning and completely unacceptable. This behavior constitutes deceptive and potentially illegal business practices. I have already taken the following actions: Reported this transaction to my credit card company as deceptive and fraudulent activity; also advising them that the internet, the BBB, are full of similar complaints of being duped by this company. I plan on filing a complaint with the **** ******************************** I contacted the company for a refund of the $295 and they finally responded on 12/16/24, initially stating that they would refund $100, suggesting acknowledgement of wrong doing, but later when I pressed the issue for a full refund, they declined and stopped responding. I am demanding the following actions be taken immediately: Refund the $295 charge without delay (the credit card used for the payment has been cancelled so need to mail in a refund check) and need to delete all my personal information from their records permanently.

    But we never recruited your service and you did nothing in this process. The *** application and issuance by the *** is a fee-free service. I have not brought it up with the *** yet, but there appears to be a deceptive set up link to the *** service and which then defaults to your portal for payment at the end.

    I urge you to, therefore, immediately refund the entire amount of $295.

    FYI, I already have the *** and there is no question of you canceling the application.

    There are several complaints on BBB regarding your process, with several other persons similarly affected.

    You are engaging in a fraudulent, deceptive and misleading activity. And you know that. You are masquerading as an *** site and fleecing money. Do you understand that.

    Again, the *** application and service is a free service and is issued immediately, and not because of anything you did. You only got paid because of deceptive tactics.

    I have already notified my credit card company for fraudulent activity and if you don't reciprocate sincerely with refund of the entire money of $295, I am going to take additional measures.

     

     

    Since you stated that you contacted your credit card company, we no longer responded and wait to hear from your credit card company. 

     

    As far as your personal information goes, all personal information is purged from our system once the *** number is assigned. We no longer have your social.

    They are certainly not doing the right thing. Their approach is deceptive and immoral, but yes, I did get the refund through my credit card company after a complaint was filed.

    Regarding Transaction number ***********in the amount of $295 at 08:43:54 on TaxIDSupport.com. This website misled me to believe this company as the official resource and process for submitting the *** application to the ***. After the payment was submitted, the response email from TaxIDSupport seemed suspicious. With additional investigation, it was found a free service is provided by the *** to obtain an ***, which is the official submittal process. This company also has collected sensitive information with properly identifying this company and its lack of affiliation with the ***. Therefore I am seeking a refund of $295 and the permanent destruction of personal information/records.

    I was under the impression I was on an *** Website requesting a Tax ID Number for an Estate. I have no experience requesting Tax ID Numbers, so I provided my **************** card for payment. I did receive communications back from them that the Descedants Social Security Number I provided did not match the ***. I then spoke with my *** who said thee is no charge for a Tax ID Number if you go to *******; which I did and I received a Tax ID Number from the **** I NEVER received any subsequent communications for this company and I certainly did not receive a Tax ID Number. The $295.00 should be refunded to my **************** card. *****.

    Transaction date 11/15 Guy has a website that mimics that of the irs, same look and color. Offers a service that clearly states free if you scroll down to bottom of page. I thought based on look and feel of website it was associated with the irs. Was wondering why i was being charged for a free service from ***. Just thought it was new and was odd.

    I am rejecting this response because:   ***************** uses the same website colors and logo on their websites to mislead and gain trust. Posting my email on a public forum with the intent to intimidate can potentially violate several laws, depending on the content and context. This back and forth appears to be pointless.     I bought EIN but I was told I already have one so I requested a refund because the purpose was to obtain it but I have yet to hear back about my refund We have acknowledged your request to cancel Transaction ID # [*********** ].     I am writing to request a refund for a recent transaction on your website. I mistakenly thought I was on the official *** website, where applying for an EIN is a free service. Unfortunately, I didn't realize that TaxIDSupport.com is a third-party provider that charges for assistance with EIN applications. The website's fine print about fees was difficult to notice and led me to believe this was an official IRS page. Upon realizing the mistake, I applied for a refund immediately, as the process appeared misleading and unexpected. They trick customers into believing they're the *** official site and make it seem like you have to pay a fee. If not refunded, i will handle a dispute with my bank.

    I paid this business $295 for a service to get an EIN number for my business that is free through the government website but there was a website link on the *** page that scammed me. I want a refund of my money for predatory advertising and scamming me out of my money and information.

    In the ****** search it states that it is an "AD", a paid service. Once you get on to our website, it states who we are, what we do and why we charge a fee. The information is there for you to read. Yes, you can apply for an EIN number at no charge through the *** or you can hire someone to file the document for you and handle the application process. You can file your taxes for free, or you can hire someone to file them for you. There are several services you can do for free, or you have the option to pay a professional to do the work for you. We provided the service requested by you.
