I moved into these apartments almost one year ago. I immediately recognized the overabundance of stray cats on the property. When I was moving in, there was a small family moving out. I asked what they about the place and the mother warned me, stating I needed to make sure my dog was treated for fleas because the cat problem was that significant. From the beginning, I notified management about strange, pungent smells in areas of my home; particularly my bedroom. The cats have urinated all over the patio carpet. As I inspected the outside of the apartment, I saw multiple areas where holes have been boarded, but some have become loose. There is one right under my bedroom that was not completely boarded up. As time has gone on, the smells are more obvious in other areas, such as the kitchen. You can currently hear the cats under the apartment. I can smell cat f**** I have tried a litany of things to alleviate this smell, but have only been somewhat effective. I currently have vinegar, charcoal bags, and odor absorbing containers placed throughout the apartment. I am allergic to cats and my allergies have worsened since living here. Now that it is cold outside, the cats are under the apartment more and the smell has magnified. My dog is now suffering with severe itching and I am having to pay for expensive medication to help with this. The neighbor's dog has recently been having the same issue but never had before. I've had my dog for almost 6 years and he has never had these issues. Luckily he is medicated for fleas and ticks so he has no infestation, but is obviously getting bit. The veterinarian concurs with this theory. He itches after coming inside. Unfortunately, he sometimes goes to the openings and wants to sniff...because that is what animals do. Also, the construction is poor. Animals should not be able to get under our homes. Never mind the maintenance issues. I would absolutely not live here again because nothing has been done.
